I keep getting a pop-up warning saying that a "script error has been stopped due to a low memory condition". From my understanding, what is meant is "virtual memory". I keep changing my virtual memory, because I've been getting this pop up sporadically for about three weeks now. I've uninstalled a few programs in hopes of alleviating the problem, to no avail. My virtual memory is currently ...

I keep getting a message from Windows that my virtual memory is low. Windows has increased my page file size but within a week or so I get the same message. Some updates won't install and some programs won't open correctly at times. Basically my computer runs pretty well with the exception of the low virtual memory problem. How can I increase my virtual memory once and for all? There is lots of ...

I've just been having a play with Piriform's new product: Speccy. Seems really good so far. Just noticed that my graphic card has 2688MB virtual memory assigned as well as it's 896MB. I've not seen this before in Everest or any other 'spec' program. Is Speccy reporting it incorrectly, or is it normal? Craig.

Where on earth did they get these programmers from? Increadable idiocy. This message is clear evidence that the support group knows nothing about computers in general much less about windows variants. It is clear they havent a clue what the real requirement is, they just scan the system to find some fanciful issue that makes it the user's fault. Bad enough they want administrative ...

I have lost my C- and E-drives. I have an IBM desktop computer running Windows XP SP2. In addition to the harddrive that is partitioned into C and E, I have for several years also a separate disk for various data designated as F. After having updated my PC with 2 x 2 GB memory cards, I wanted to change the swap-file. Went into Control-Panel/System/Virtual Memory/Advanced. There I ...
