I have a Dell 2208WFP. Not bad, but you have to look at it pretty much dead on for it to be perfect. If you look at it a slight angle you'll see a kind of light red creep in on the side of the monitor furthest from you. As well as this, if you stand above the monitor, the picture looks very different from straight on. According to reviews this is a very good monitor with a very good ...

New macbook owner. One thing I can't seem to get comfortable with is the view angle. On other notebooks I've owned, the screen would fold way back past 90 degrees. With the MB's single hinge, the screen is barely past 90 degrees. I find I'm slouching a lot just to look at the screen from a comfortable angle. Is there a solution to this other that using an external monitor?

Hello all! I'd like to know about the guarantees regarding the quality of the MacBook display. My problem is an excessively narrow viewing angle. If I place my eyes on the line perpendicular to the display and going through its center, I am nevertheless bothered by different perceptible brightness at the top and bottom of the screen. Distance from my eyes to the display is about 55-...

Anyone here with an iPhone 3G that doesn't change colour at a slight angle? I'm wondering if all 3G iPhones are like this, or if some are worse than others. iLounge posted an article with photos showing differences in viewing angles, but every phone I've looked at so far were the same, where a slight angle causes the screen to change blueish. Please post pics if yours ...

First of all, here is a link that explains vertical viewing angles: http://myhometheater.homestead.com/Verticalviewing .html That shows what we'll be trying to calculate. On to the process... First you need this info: 1. How high above the floor are the viewer's eyes at the viewing position? 2. How high above the floor is the bottom of the screen viewing surface?...

Many years ago I "upgraded" to an LCD as I was going to university and my absolutely huge 22inch Mitsubishi Diamondtron 2045u CRT would not fit on the desk. I bought a Samsung 172x, and still have it now. It's a 17inch TN Panel, and apparently has 12ms response time. At the time, it was THE monitor to get, and one of the few where input lag was now low enough for games to be playable without ...

I know there are different types of notebook screens. I would like to know witch type has the widest vertical viewing angle, for proper reception for color and contrast editing.

I just got a new Panasonic Plasma (pz80u). I've yet to see any HD content on it because the cable company came with the wrong box. I did most of my research online instead of going into stores and looking at sets (though I certainly did this as well). Here comes a really dumb question. I was under the assumption that the newer flat panel tvs had great viewing angles, almost...

What is the detailed explanation of the limited viewing angle experienced with LCD displays? Since LCD relies on polarization, it seems to me that with reflective displays (i.e. ones without built-in light source, using onyl reflected external light) the amount of light reflected from the display depends heavily on the viewing angle, since the reflected light is ...

I've received an HP LCD monitor, their 20 inch LP2065. According to the web site http://www.flatpanels.dk , this monitor should have either an S-IPS or an A-MVA panel. It looks great, but when I attempt to profile it with my Spyder2Pro, I find that images previously edited in PS CS3 and displayed on my older CRT monitor, now look somewhat too bright and too blue. I've phoned and written to ...
