Hi: I'd like to connect my MacBook to an older 27" television and use it as a DVD player. The television uses S-Video and the MacBook is a 2008 version with a mini-DV port. From what I've seen on the Apple support website, the Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9319G/A#overvie w should work with my model of MacBook. Can anyone confirm this?...

I've been searching for a VGA to S-Video adapter for my laptop, so I can use my TV as a 2nd monitor and I can find them from $2 - $3, but one thing puzzles me. On my laptop the VGA port says: Ports: Video Port 1 x VGA, 1 x HDMI From what I can tell, a VGA to S-Video adapter is cheaper then a HDMI to S-Video adapter. *Ill look into getting a VGA to [what ever the HI-Def cable is called, the ...

I am thinking about buying this adapter for my macbook so i can connect my macbook to a TV. I know that if you connect a minidisplay port to a TV it doesn't transfer the computers sound to the TV speakers. Would this display connection through the USB port transfer sound to a TV. This is really what I'm looking for in a connector because it would be nice to not have to set up the ...

Greetings... This may seem odd for a Server 2008 R2 setup, but some of us prefer to use server as our primary workstation for various reasons. I am using an older Dell system with an onboard ATI Radeon 7000-M graphic adapter with 16MB ram. I have installed an NVidia FX 5200 PCI graphic adapter that will provide much better graphics. The BIOS does not permit me to disable the onboard BIOS nor ...

That said, I've been working the last few days with a business partner of mine to help setup his recording studio. They purchased most of the rig, including a Mac Pro 2.8 before they started remodeling the studio a ...

Is there a Maplin store near you? There are a few scattered around Ireland I think. Two in Dublin and Dundalk to begin with and one in Cork Here is a link for a quick search I did on their site: http://maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?crit...male&source =15 Can a relative in elsewhere/England otherwise not get you one and send it by post?

You could always try something like this Mini DisplayPort/Optical Audio Out to HDMI adapter: http://kanexlive.com/products/item.aspx?id=3495 Edit: The device you listed is USB to DVI, then uses a DVI to HDMI adapter. Considering DVI does not carry audio at all, it will not work as you intend. You would need to introduce the audio at the point of conversion from DVI to HDMI.

Hi I agree with vincent , earlier i had tested computer by installing dual monitors and installing additional VGA adapter , all that you had to do is to select the required adapater and no need for you to disable the default adapter. When you select the require adapter , the manufacturer's display driver will get loaded for the resolution to get affected.

http://mdsincorporated.com/ind.htm I bought one of their systems at shot show a few years ago, the cost was about 1/5 of the cost of the hawkeye... not the same quality but good enough for me. Here's a screen capture I took on my laptop... I could have focused it a little more but I was in a hurry... works pretty well. I have found that the flashlight source is not adequate for a lot...
