Boy, for those of you who don't think you need ventilation, I invite you to hang out in my still scallop scented cheap college apartment. Ugh. Honestly, I've always had a vent hood, but I wasn't always particularly good about using it (because noises like that really bug me). Since we've moved in here, I cannot believe how long cooking smells linger. I wonder what my neighbors think of the ...

I am hoping to purchase a single electric deck baking oven for my home. Â I will be baking bread. Â What sort of ventilation will I need? Answer Kathie, You shouldn't need an exhaust hood with an electric bake oven cooking bread. There is no exposed flame and the temperatures of the oven will be below 350F. You should check in with the Fire Marshall in your local area to make sure there is ...

I'm going make a grow out of my bedroom walk in closet. It's 6'x6' but I will use 4'x5' to grow about six plants. It has a bathroom ceiling ventilation fan in it already and it goes to the roof. Two questions. It's a two story house. Do I really need a filter if the smell of six plants is exhausted that high? Is a 70 cmf bathroom fan enough? I will have a separate ...

The batt insulation is installed on the roof decking and there are no soffit, peak ridge, or air hawks installed. Trying to do a sealed in attic on the gulf coast is just not gonna work.

Hello, I have a bathroom that is 576 cubic sq.ft. with shower/tub. There is a window in the bathroom. There is also a 70 CFM fan. We are getting way to much moisture in the bathroom after showers and we are getting mildew on the ceiling and only on the ceiling. What can we do to fix it? Is it a matter of the fan being too small for the area. It is a 70 sq.ft. room. Also, the fan is running and ...
