I'm building a music making rig and was wondering if it's worth splashing out on a velociraptor HD. I may be recording up to 36 tracks of hi-def audio and need a fast HD.

Velociraptor - Creature - Beast Pack (When Velociraptor comes into play, you may search your library for another card named Velociraptor, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.) If two or more creatures named Velociraptor are declared as attackers, or are assigned to block the same creature, they gain first strike. "Clever girl!" 4/3

This is my system: Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 CPU: i7920 (2.66ghz not OC) Mem: OCZ DDR3 PC3...

Is the WD VelociRaptor 300GB 3.5inch (backplane-ready) internal drive compatible with my 8-Core 2.93Ghz Nehalem Mac Pro, and, if yes, is the WD3000HLFS the correct model for me to order from a supplier? I emailed this question to Western Digital, and their reply was: "Western Digital does not have information on specific PC or Mac computer systems and their compatibility with hard ...

Backplanes are essentially setups where you can plug the drive in without a cable. Backplanes can exist because SATA drives are supposed to have the SATA ports in standardized specific locations. If the drive doesn't have the ports in a standard location, you can't use it on a backplane. In an Enterprise, you'd rather just slide out the drive vs screw around with unplugging and plugging ...

Hi, doing some research on getting a new HDD and came across the velociraptor which I like. But I then saw it benchmarked against MemoRight GT SSD MR25.2-S032G. http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/IDE/SSD_v...or_Raptor.h tml and it seems pretty good. So I put it into google shopping to see what price they are and 3 results came up. http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=M...t+GT+SSD&hl =en What ...

hi! I'll be upgrading my HDD soon as i'm still using seagate 320gb PATA drive which is painfully slow. With new hdd i want to combine speed and storage. Now Im not thinking about SSD's as they are out of my price range. I was thinking about velociraptor but it seems quite dear as per buck/GB. So now I'm leaning towards getting Samsung spinpoint F1 1TB but I'm opened to suggestions...
