Buster Olney reports that Javier Vasquez is available via trade, and are most likely looking for a right handed bat in the outfield. I hate the idea of sending Matt Kemp, so do the dodgers have enough in the farm to deal for this guy? Havent seen him pitch in a while but from what i hear he was one of the four best pitchers in the NL last year. What do you guys think?

I know this is silly and maybe a bit too detailed but I was curious. Noticed when Vasquez first came into the league he wasnt wearing any wrist support or gloves. Thats rare for an OL in the NFL. It wasnt until this last game against Oakland that I saw him come out taped and gloved up. Did he change his mind about going Mark Grace out there? What brought on the change? Had ...

It looks like Javier Vasquez might be available this offseason. He's been pretty hit or miss his whole career. Usually 2 bad seasons, 1 good, 2 bad, etc. Should the Dodgers pursue him if Halladay doesn't happen or Wolf/Lackey/Padilla want too much? He's not great, but certainly better than the FA list aside from Wolf and Lackey.

There is an ESPN insider by Buster Olney where he talks about where Javy could end up. Is there anyone who has access that would like to share that information?

*Of all those mentioned in the article I would LOVE to get Josh Hamilton.* Oh, God I hope the Rangers are dumb enough to think Hamilton has nothing left. Please Rangers, please. ATL, do you think if the Rangers were to trade Hamilton for Vasquez, presuming Vasquez agrees to the trade, that the Braves would be able to also pry Chris Davis away too? I'm thinking 50-50 considering how good ...

Not really. If I wanted to f-ck a penis-less man, I'd probably f-ck Garrett. ---------- "How d'you like that, Brett? A taste of your own dick medicine." - Murray Hewitt

All, Sorry I meant to add this in the other post. Heres my suggestion for clearing the 40 man roster; A Claggett-off, E Hacker-off, R Uviedo-if this guy is 23 I'll kiss your Asz, V Vasquez, and L. Cruz they have 2 to add back on in Meek and Ascaino I believe so this would free up 3 slots. I do believe Vasquez would probably get claimed though, so be it.

From Mike on the listserv, per Dejan's Tweets... Virgil Vasquez, Eric Hacker and Steve Lerud have been removed from the roster. I imagine Lerud would be resigned primarily for depth.

Is going to be a big problem for us again this season. We were 2 for 13 in our exhibition last night. Hayes is our only reliable threat behind the arc and he needs to be wide open to get his shot off. Vasquez will throw his share up, but you can't expect much better than 30 percent accuracy from him and after that who do we have? We were pretty bad from 3 last year and we had Neal shooting at...

Yeah I never did really get that. It's not like they're walking. I can understand maybe giving a hometown discount to be within a couple hours drive of one's home, but not chopping a third off the market because a handful of times a year it will save an hour or two going to or from home.
