Kedos to skinkyperson for posting this. Check it out guys, Valvoline SynPower has more ZDDP, Moly, Phosporus etc.. than Delvac 1/Mobil and REDLINE. No wonder it's so expensive. [img] http://www.butler-machinery.com/resources/NewOils/ New_1.jpg [/img

This is my 2nd UOA overall on this vehicle. 2002 Envoy at 125,000 miles. Ran this sample 5,529 before changing oil (7 quart sump on the 4.2l I6 engine). Valvoline Synpower 5w/30 flavor. Looks good!

http://www.engineguarantee.com/ What do you guys think of this new initiative? "WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO STAY IN THE LIMITED ENGINE GUARANTEE PROGRAM? Once you've enrolled, change your oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles using the type of Valvoline oil required for the protection level you selected. We know you can't always change your oil at exactly 3,000 miles, so we allow a grace period of up ...

My girl friend has a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS S/C it has 14K miles on it I just changed the oil with Valvoline SynPower 5w-30 and a AcDelco filter I was just wondering how often the oil should be changed or should we just go by the OLM. The car is often reved above 3k-4k rpm on a daily basis and is only driven about 10 miles round trip a day with a 20-30 mile round trip once a week

I have been a loyal Valvoline patron for years. My owner's manual for my 08 F150 recommends a synthetic blend oil. I do not haul or tow anything and would like to continue with Valvoline Dino in my F150. Anyone think I am risking the warranty or life of the motor by using the white bottle 5W20? I do 3000 miles OCI's religiously. Thanks

Been using VR1 Valvoline racing oil in my 1974 02 (20/50w). Now that it's getting cold in new england want to switch to a lighter weight for fall and spring time use. Any one have thoughts on running Valvoline VR1 10/30 weight in their cars? has high zinc content, I would think would offer enough protection in cooler spring and fall months with the zinc protection ...

I got the VOA from Blacksotone. Thoughts? The trace wear metals we found in this virgin sample are becoming increasingly common finds in virgin oils. They aren't much of a problem. No moisture was found and the trace of insolubles is acceptable. Calcium and magnesium are your detergent/ dispersants while zinc and phos are anti wear additives. This looks to be a nice oil for your Dmax. ...

Anyone who used this oil for scooter? It looks good. But I'm kinda worried about that "not street legal" catch phrase. It's like it's going to damage my catalytic converter or something

Found these of interest: Quote: Myth Oil can significantly improve horsepower (it can't make your engine better than it was). Reality - Certain oils, such as Valvoline's MaxLife, can significantly improve horsepower and prolong the life of an engine by conditioning seals and cleaning buildup, sludge, etc. from older engines. Quote: As long as you change the oil filter, you can run ...

This weekend I had my oil changed to Valvoline MaxLife 10W40 to help with my minor oil consumption that I had during startups. It has managed to do this quite well, however I noticed that my throttle response has suffered right after the change on my way home. When I press the throttle and let off, it takes approximately 10 seconds for the rpm's to slowly drop back down to idle/cruise while...

Autozone carries Castrol, Valvoline and some off-brand of ATF+4. The Castrol and Valvoline say "full synthetic" ... the off-brand doesn't say anything. Autozone thought all ATF+4 was synthetic (no such thing as non-synthetic ATF+4) ...I called the local Jeep dealer and they said ATF+4 is all the same. He sounded like an idiot too (I need to mention that). I'm paranoid of putting Castrol...

Silver with black interior, 132k mostly highway miles. Great daily driver, very reliable. Never beaten on or raced (its a 30v), oil change religiously every 3k with valvoline synthetic. Timing belt and associated parts replaced at 118k, pads, rotors and SS lines done 3 months ago. Both interior and exterior in great condition, save for a few unavoidable rock chips on front bumper....

What do you recommend? 1. 96 Chevy C1500 2wd 5.7 engine, automatic trans., ext cab pickup 2. Raleigh, NC area 3. Recently purchased and replaced motor at approx. 167K miles 4. Engine installer recommended 10W40 "Texas Oils"--Havoline/Valvoline and Castrol is fine as well. 5. Not my daily driver, Fridays to work and weekend use for regular commuting in/around town. No heavy hauling, towing, etc. ...

I received the UOA on my truck today, 7500 miles on Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40 with no makeup oil required. Although it looks like a good report, the oil additives are not what I expected for Valvoline PB CI-4+ specification. I thought the CI-4+ formulation was virtually the same as the CI-4. A previous UOA I have from 5 years ago on PB CI-4 had 3578 calcium, 30 magnesium, 102 boron and 1480 ...
