Okay, I have an iPod Touch, and Jaadu VNC installed. (Remote Desktop application). It works flawlessly on my WiFi connection, but I was just wondering, will it work on any WiFi connection in the world? Or do I have to do some extra set-ups? I know for a fact you can, because in their saying, it says that you can access your PC from anywhere, any time. But I was just wondering if I have to set up ...

I am trying to run a VNC Server and have people log in with a vnc viewer. What I do on the computer I am trying to have accessed I note my IP Address which is something like 192.42.2.2. I have the people type in the on the VNC Viewer the IP address and it doesn't work. However I notice if I try to do this with a computer on the same network I get success. Just wondering how I would do...

Hi all! I'd like to be able to VNC to my Mac at home. Here are the steps I followed (on my Mac - latest version of Leopard) 1) In the "sharing" control panel options I turned on Screen Sharing 2) In the screen sharing options I set "allow VNC access with password" (or something like that) and set my password 3) On my airport extreme I entered "manual setup" and in the ...

I'm trying to use VNC to access an account on my sister's iMac and we're running into 2 remaining issues. What we have so far is two accounts on the iMac, call them "her" and "me". Ideally the computer would be set to autologin as "her" but still allow me to VNC into the "me" account. No good solution for this yet. We either have to have "me" autologin and autolaunch Vine ...
I've played around with Mocha Lite VNC on my 3G iPhone. It works well enough but is rather slow. The paid version adds right mouse click and the price is very reasonable. I'm thinking about buying it but I what I really want/need is something more responsive. Does anyone one how the full version compares to other VNC apps speed-wise? Any other VNC recommendations sincerely ...

So I bought an unmanaged VPS off http://x10hosting.com/ , and now I want to control it through VNC, as I only have SSH server control. So I headed to their knowledgebase and followed this guide: http://clients.x10hosting.com/knowle...ayarticle&i d=5 Since I'm a Linux newbie, I didn't understand it at first, but quickly got into it and followed all steps correctly. I got the VNC ...

I occasionaly want to boot UBCD4WIN on units with no keyboard and mouse. It would be nice if there was a way to boot with Network enabled (static IP) and to automatically start UltraVNC (or similar) server. This would allow remote access for diagnostic. If there was a startup options file that allowed network by default, automatic responses to startup questions and perhaps specifing the IP....

I am deployed in Kuwait and trying to reach back to my iMac back in Japan. The problem is that I think my Kuwaiti ISP is blocking BTMM. When I first arrived last week, I could see my iMac and my Time Capsule. Now I can't see any of them. I can access my Time Capsule router through Airport Utility. I simply select Configure Other, and put in the IP address with the password and ...

Hi, I have Googled and found a lot of info that describes my problem, but unfortunately no solution just yet. I am hoping someone here might help me to shed some light. Here it comes: 1. CentOS 5.4 behind a router on a DSL connection (ports 5900 and 5902 forwarded). 2. VNC Server installed and configured Quote: VNCSERVERS="2:username" VNCSERVERARGS[2]="-geometry 1024x768 -depth 16 -nohttpd...

Chaps, Is the following possible? I would like to set up a Mac Mini such that it can boot with no keyboard, monitor or mouse attached and then use screen sharing / vnc to access the system to start / stop services (or shut it down) across a lan. The advent of a mini with 4gb of RAM means that I could set up a couple of VMs and have it as a portable network node running up to 3 ...

So I was installing a theme to my iPod, and I was using VNC to keep an eye on it. I looked up at the VNC, and it showed that it was preparing the theme. I looked down at my ipod, and there was the Apple logo on my screen. It stayed there for about 5 minutes, so I did a hard reset, and waited a bit longer. It started up, and now whenever I open Cydia, the default.png shows up, but after that it...

I've been using a Linksys Wireless-G router for several years. I just went out and got an AirPort Extreme in hopes that it would be faster and offer more range, however I'm finding the opposite to be true. Specifically I am having problems running remote programs such as VNC or the Mobile Air Mouse app. The movement seems to be pretty smooth as the mouse is moving, but when I first ...

Ever since I have installed the 2TB time capsule (to replace an airport and separate backup disk) I have had almost zero internet bandwidth on this wireless subnet. I currently share the main DSL hub via powerline into the the timecapsule. All other 'internal' network traffic seems fine (VNC, backups, file transfers etc..) but anything that needs an internet connection is a joke (...
