My normal overclock is 9x400 = 3.6GHz @ 1.4V but I desperately need the voltage to drop when I am not doing anything intensive to reduce heat and noise. This was working perfectly last night, I would use CPU-Z and watch my Vcore automatically drop when it drops my multiplier to 6x400 = 2.4GHz, it would drop the Vcore down to 1.2V (or something like that, I can't recall exactly what it was)....

hi with my overclock i have a reather modest 3.2 running stable at 1.25 vcore and my ram at 1.64, with my i7. But everything else is et to auto. my question is will this be harming the processor over time by raising other voltages too high. im not sure what the qpi or ioh voltage should be. thanks

I mean, Vcore alone. Can it be harmful to a mobo? Or just the CPU? My E8400 E0 clocks so bad (compared to other E0s i've seen around) it might as well have been a C0. I don't know if I just got a "bad" chip, but hey, it does 4ghz... @ 1.4v (shocking voltage for an E0). Anyway, I decided to give it some hell and see how it handles 1.45v for everyday use. I wanted to break the ...

I read a review at Xbitlabs of the Phenom II 965 125W and it crystallized in my mind the potential of VCore offsetting which I’d previously seen mentioned in reviews of X58 chipset boards. In the review they included for comparison purposes the Asus P7P55D Deluxe (LGA1156, Intel P55) which supports VCore offset. It clearly shows the advantage of this setting when you compare the i5 750 ...

Ok so i'm trying to hit the 4GHz mark with my Q6600 using an Abit IP-35. The thing is that when I set the vcore to 1.61 or higher, the system will not boot. Sometimes the PC will even turn off in BIOS when my vcore and northbridge are set to 1.55v+. Is it maybe that my 600W OCZ PSU ain't enough?

MSI P55-GD80 Vcore OCP mod Hi guys, I was make an OCP mod for this board and I share it with you. My board was shutting down when freq were about 4200MHz and Vcore about 1,44V in linx... After this mod with 470k resistor between Imax and GND, I can give to CPU more and more Vcore without any issue . (1,55V+, Lotes socket!!!) pics:...

i have hit 4.2ghz pretty easily with most things on auto, whilst testing for my max fsb limit im able to hit 4.5ghz without too much effort. The problem is i can only run it sensibly at 4.2ghz, im having to set the vcore in the bios to 1.400v (cpu-z reports it in windows at 1.38v just outside the intel reccomended volts). I think with everything setup on the other options correctly i could ...

Hi Everybody, I update new bios (g10) my 785gtm-e45, IGP overclok is on but there is no vcore adjusment. Will MSI enable vcore adjusment or should we mod our bios to enable or selectable vcore?

hello, I've tried searching on this, but I haven't really been able to find a straight answer. I'm currently trying to reach 220 Bclck with my i7 920 D0 and rampage ii extreme (about 4.68GHz I think). I'm at 211 stable right now. However, being at the limits of this chip, the amount of vcore needed to get to 220 bclk is very high. I tried testing 219, and it wasn't completely ...

Anyone know a safe level / Max for this to be at? I've got mine to 4ghz @ 1.425v but it won't get through a minute of stess testing without crashing. Temps seem fine. 3.8ghz - Maxed out at 33 in p95. 4.0ghz - 23 whilst browsing/playing music Help appreciated

Ok, so I am able to get a stable 3.6GHz OC with my Q6600 using 1.392 Vcore. So far it's at least 4 hours stable using Prime95. The problem is that during certain cycles it makes a loud hissing noise. Like at 8k FFT & 10k FFT it doesn't make a noise, then at 12k it does, then at 14k it doesn't... Pretty weird, I know. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned? I ...

Got it in Linx testing now to check temps and stock stability. 133x23 1.25 vcore, 1.2VTT. Load hit 55C so far with all ram tested. I am aiming for 4.5HT for the harder benches (3dmark, SPi 32m and wprime 1024m) and 4.6HT for the rest. Once I get another rad in the loop should get another 100Mhz to each. Ive got to bench my 4670 to death today, then Ill ...

Hey I'm overclocking my Phenom x4 9950, it does good while stress testing it with Prime95 @ 3.0Ghz (default for this Processor is 2.6Ghz) I only had to raise the Vcore and the Voltage-NB up .50mv, and it seems stable @ 3.0Ghz, (temps with load is 50C), but when I up the clock by .100, it will stress test for about 10 seconds then crash, and the max temps before it crashes is 52C.. So I went back ...

Hey guys. I got a new E8600 recently and validated at 6184mhz but vcore was at 1.92 temp at -116 deg on a EP45T. My question is what must PLL be on? i had it on 1.66v. And CPU termination? MCH termination? DRAM termination? http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=838437 Regards R3D

I'm currently on P09 bios. Can someone clarify the Vdroop control for me with this board? I have it disable currently. But in CPU-z, when I load up the cores, the Vcore actually increases from 1.28 to 1.31. I though with Vdroop, the volts are suppose to drop?

Since my friend Dread got his VGA for the greek cheapazchips (HD4670 with passive cooling) i wanted to help him find the vcore mod.The problem was that the Pwm controller it had has no PDF on the web.So i started measuring and finaly found wich "leg: was the right one and kimon found a spot connected directly to the "leg" .The rest was easy. The mod works nice and this 4670 even better. With 1...
