right i have searched the forum and cant find my answer . basically i have bought an ebay lead and the 409.1 software installed it , and it looks ok port recognised interface is good however when ever i try to enter any of the boxs eg select control modules . i get an error message of vag com is not working and then it shuts down ? any ideas

Is there anyone cleverer than me in the Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambs area who would be willing to plug my car into their VAG-Com and read the fault codes for me? I have an ongoing idle problem and I just dont have the funds to replace the 99 sensors, AFM, dizzy etc in an attempt to cure it, id like to find the problem and sort it. Happy to pay for youre time and educate myself along the way.

i HAVE A 1999 Ibiza Tdi with AHU engine. when you plug VAG.COM in Channel 4 ( ithink) It will not let you change the timing. There is another channel which should control the glow plug timer and this is also unavailable. Has anyone else experienced this and how can I get round it?

I got these Codes last time a friend with Vag plugged it in on my 225 and I have been having problems with loss of power....Do these confirm the MAF is to Blame? O and what does a new maf for a 2000 225 cost in GBP or Euro ? Many Thanks in Advance!

OK, Ross Tech says the login codes are in the manual...I've paged through a number of sections, but haven't been made privy to the login codes. Trying to recode addition of an ABS module to a 2002 1.8T Auto, ABS v5.3. Any good ideas here? v5.3 isn't supposed to require login, but it does. tia ~

I don't have the cash to shell out for a real Ross-Tech interface right now, but the cheap Chinese clone seems to work well enough with 409.1. It seems my cruise control got shut off when it got re-chipped. I have a ross-tech vag-com for the car but its been forever since i used it and i dont remember the login for it now. It is a 01 VW jetta tdi non pd standard shift. Anyone remember the login code for these? I know i had seen it once on ross-tech for my car but i cant find it now. I never have had the SKC and know its not needed.
