I have had appalling download speeds for months. Ages ago I upgraded from 4Mb to 8mb as the price was the same. Made no difference to speeds as I suspected. I've jumped through all the hoops, testing with my desktop PC connected via LAN to a Belkin router. I've re-installed the original Sagem modem supplied by Tiscali with the same results. I've tried a laptop with the Sagem modem which ...
OK, right now I am paying 60 bucks a month for my ISP and separate phone line on my home PC. I figured I might as well go ahead and get a laptop (which I have been waiting 3 years to get) since the montly fee is about 60.00 I think. I have some questions I hope the board members can answer. 1. Will I need a separate ISP if I buy a card and pay the 60.00/month for service?...

Hi all, This may be a bit of a noob question, and I might have missed some basic technological reason for this, but can anyone tell me why when I download a file using my PDA with PIE connected via wifi to my home router, the download speed is a fraction of that same file downloaded on my laptop connected thru the same router? Thanks! Gary.

So I recently started experiencing a grinding noise at idling or low speeds on my 2005 Centurion V-drive. It doesn't happen all the time, and when it does happen if I speed up in the boat it goes away for a little bit than will come back again. The grinding noise DOES NOT happen when I put the boat in reverse. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Engine, Tranny, anything else?...

I recently upgraded my ReVisionFX Smooth Kit to the latest, and also bought their DeNoise filter. Between the two of them, I'm hoping one will take care of any flicker. Going to do some tests today on some old animations and will report back here. Ideally it would be great if the AA settings could be turned down enough that the flicker is there, but able to be knocked down with a simple ...

Abby - Your DD has to be a tall skinny kid. My DD is about 37in and 30lbs right now (and almost 4 years old) and your DD is taller and lighter! Britax has a great reputation and definitely has been a leader in car seat development over the years. When my twins were 10 months old and I was looking at convertible car seats, Britax was the only option for harnessing children for more than ...
