When I open my laptop lid, or boot the machine up, I come first to "my name locked" of which I can click on it and then I go into Windows. I can click on "switch user" BUT what I want is ....... to simply bypass this page when I boot my computer up or lift the lid. I don't want to see this page. Can someone please give me instructions as how to set this so this snag will go away. Thanks!

Basically, my "user login" page is not displaying any blocks that are specifically targeted for that page. I have no problem displaying blocks that are visible on any page. Under "Page specific visibility settings" I've tried: user /user ?q=user None of these seem to work. Any ideas. *Solution* You must put "user/*"

I want to try and modify the loop so that it displays only the posts from a logged in user perspective. For example, Fred logs in. Now the page he looks at has a modified loop so that it only displays Fred's posts. Do you know if there's an extension in the loop to do that? Obviously there's a way to put a certain author's posts in the loop by putting in an author ID or that sort of thing....

Hi all, I'm a newbie to Joomla. Is anyone aware of an extension that modifies the Contact details page to show the list of articles authored by them? (Assuming the contact is linked to a user that has authoring permissions) In general, is there an extension that can show rich details (including HTML) for a contact? I've searched the extension directory to no avail. Thank you!

Ok. It shows that I have a 76 blank character and then Tordail on my user page. So I click "view your information" and see that Tordail is listed as an alternate character while the blank character is listed as a primary character. I'm testing a new install and have an issue with an admin created user. I made the role as Author but when I log in as that user there is no permission to create a new page from a link to page-new.php. In the admin are for that user only post are showing.
