Sorry this is probably a really dumb question but i don't know the answer and i don't want to give us all food poisoning! I cooked a roast chicken for lunch today and the use by date was today. Will the cooked chicken still be ok in the fridge for 3 days or should i throw it out as the use by date was today?

and not die or get the runs? I have some Tofu in the fridge that will be 6 days past its use by tomorrow, thinking of making a kimchee nabe because also I have mushrooms, nira, cabbage, onion, chicken and kimchee nabe sauce in the fridge. Cook up some rice too. Will I be running to the toilet every hour tomorrow night?

Probably a silly question but I have a beef stir-fry in the fridge which has a 'use by' 3rd November. Does this mean that I should have used it yesterday or should it be fine to have tonight? Thanks!

This may be an obvious question to many of you lot, but many moons ago when I worked for the Co-Op, we used to have to reduce any "Use By" dates on the day before the date printed on the packaging and I believe this was "law" (though you could sell Best Before stuff on the actual date...) Everywhere else seemed to do this too, but now my Sainsbury's has suddenly started reducing things on the ...

Thanks for the suggestion Ernest.  I gave it a try - modified the registry setting as suggested in the KB.  I then did a test import of a video.  The recorded video file still has a time stamp that is early by 5 hours, which appears to be the timezone difference.  So no luck. Note that the video camera doesn't track timezone, just the date and time that it is set for.  I wonder if the import ...

>select trunc(SYSDATE-to_date(Due_Date)) INTO Rent_Time from dual; alternatively accomplish the above with less overhead by below RENT_TIME := trunc(SYSDATE-Due_Date); It is WRONG to use TO_DATE() function on a DATE datatype. TO_DATE transforms a STRING into a DATE & should always include a format mask!
