I need to replace my sway bar bushings and I have read that Urethane bushings (according to Addco) should not be used on Vanagons. I am curious why urethane bushings are not recommended or offered by the Vanagon vendors? Paul

Wasn't sure where to post this but, Any major differences between the red and black urethane bushings? The blacks are graphite impregnated. Does that mean they should be used instead of the reds? Or would the application be specific, as in body, motor, tranny mounts as opposed to sway bar, rear leaf, conrol arm applications?

I am gettin ready to build a set of wings for my 8.5 boss and instead of rubber I want to use urethane. But I don't know where to get it. And has anyone else used urethane on their wings? Seems like it would work a whole lot better than rubber. If ya know where to get it I would like to know. Thanks

I bought a set of urethane exhaust hangers from a guy locally but they have 12mm holes rather than the 15mm holes that my WRX has. they are just eBay hangers, but seem to be really nice quality. according to kartboy.com 08+ Imprezas have 12mm holes, and i'm sure there are more cars than just that that use 12mm hangers. i'm looking to get 20 bucks plus shipping. I have scraped off Bostik's urethane glue off my 400 sq ft indoor slab and I now want to lay stone tile. Is scraping the slab good enough or should I use scarifiing machine to finish cleaning concrete? Or something else?

I'm just wondering if these would work? I guess I would have to separate the existing pad from the plastic ring and then glue the new urethane leather pad to it. It's almost a direct size match. QUESTION: I have unfinished pine logs that I washed with a commercial log wash. I would like to give them a richer appearance before I poly them (interior). Can I use tung or linseed oil to take the bleached look out of them before I apply poly? ANSWER: Hey Doug, I wouldn't use poly on them at all....it will eventually fail, chip, peel, etc. Why not use a modified Tung oil finish like WaterLox...

What does everybody use to lubricate urethane suspension bushings before installation? I was also wondering what can be used where the body mounts meet the frame? The rubber always holds in the moisture and causes rust at these points, is there anything that can applied beforehand to prevent this?
