Hi and yes you guessed. I accidentally put £2.81 of unleaded in my friends car this morning. It was a rather silly thing to do but I stopped as soon as I realised. Thing is is that I was told to fill the rest of the tank up with diesel to dilute it, so what should have only cost me £15 in fuel ended up costing me £45. I'll never do that again! Still drives which is a bonus

Hi All Tried a tank of 'BP ultimate' super unleaded yesterday....really noticed the difference! I've read a few other comments on here and must agree. Car seems quieter, drives smoother and seems to be a little better MPG already! Do we agree its worth the extra 5p per litre ?? Regards Dave

I assumed I was certain by giving my 1979 280zx Leaded fuel. However I'm seeing the labels on 1980's+ zx's saying - UNLEADED FUEL ONLY. Should my car take Unleaded fuel?

I have been told that a 998 cc head will fit a 1098 cc engine without any problems as there are more unleaded 998s about than 1098. However , if a 1098 gives better performance then I see little point in compromising this by going for the more readily available head. Has anyone found the solution to this when converting to unleaded?

i have just watched the end of an old top gear where they compared the differences between normal unleaded,bp ultimate and shell optimax, the results were quite suprising. on a vw golf gti on normal unleaded 172bhp,with bp ultimate 174bhp and with shell optimax 177bhp. with a subaru imprezza the resuts were even better, with norml unleaded 235bhp,with bp ultimate 248bhp and with ...

Hi All, I've been working on my DS camping kit and would like fellow inmates to chime in here with some experiences, because I am completely confused at this point. I've read differing opinions on whether or not the Penny Stove can use / burn unleaded gas. So...anyone actually use their Penny Stove with Unleaded? Cautions? Problems? Thanks all!

Hi all I am interested to know if a 1994 VW Citi Golf with a 1300 petrol engine made in South Africa will run on unleaded petrol? I need to know as I am planning on buying this car for my son, and leaded petrol will not be sold for much longer in this country. Please let me know Thanks B1g H@mst3r

Anyone know where there might be a steady supply of this? I know there is a pump at Pacific Raceways, but it is $9 a gallon and the pumps are locked over the winter. I hear there is a place in Ballard, but I am hopeful there is something closer to where I live in Pierce County. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!...

How much you guys spend each time you fill up? how much is premium leaded in your area? Mine is $3.09 / gallon. With a 19 gal tank, that would be $60 per fillup. Ouch.

Yet more on this topic. So if I buy a modern 998 head with no bypass hose outlet, and change water pump accordingly, what problems am I likely to encounter with engine cooling and performance

Round town driving gently 163 miles to the 14 gallon tank= 11.6mpg Motorway at 65-70mph 231 miles to the 14 gallon tank= 16.5 mpg Sound about right? Sure ...
