For students and families who want to compare UNDERGRADUATE colleges based on what the student will actually encounter on a college’s campus, consider how colleges compare based on the FOUR KEY QUESTIONS: 1. How strong are your student peers? Stronger classmates are preferred. 2. What size is the classroom? More smaller classes, fewer large classes and low student/faculty ratios are ...

Hello, I was wondering how important is undergraduate course load in terms of admissions to top tier schools like UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Columbia? I am currently a junior in an Electrical Engineering program and I found out that I have to stay an extra year to finish up my undergrad degree. I planned out that every quarter I would have to take 3 classes with some quarters having 1 or 2 ...

Hi folks, I'm a 3rd year undergraduate podiatry student who is in the process of looking into the effectiveness of callus debridement for pain relief, quality of life and ulcer prevention in people with rheumatoid arthritis. I would be most grateful for other podiatrists and researchers thoughts on this matter. Kind Regards Rachel Liminton

Hello Everyone! Does anyone here have any information on the Undergraduate Planning degrees offered at any of the school across Canada? I've applied Ryerson, Dalhousie and U of Sask. I didn't apply to Waterloo because if I'm going to live in a small town, I might as well be close to home (Edmonton). I would like to focus my career on urban design, so if anyone knows whether a certain ...

I am a graduate school legacy. My mother attended a professional school at Yale. I recently read a post on this site from a while ago that said that the legacies might be counted differently. I'm wondering if my chances are lowered from a undergraduate legacy's chances. Is that true? Here are some stats: SAT: 2310 (one sitting) (800 CR, 710 M, 800 W) SAT IIs: 710 Bio, 740 Math II, 760 Lit APs...

For the "courses and grades" section of the application, the instructions say "if your summer school class was equivalent to a full-year course enter the grades separated by a slash." The Spanish I course that I took over the summer at my high school counted as a full-year course, but I only received one grade, which was an A, for that class and not two separate ones. So do I put A/A on the ...

I am currently a freshmen at the University of Texas at Austin and am thinking of transferring to the Unviersity of Pittsburgh my sophomore year. Would this effect my chances of getting into medical school? I know that Pitt is still a respected school, but do medical schools look down on if you transfer as an undergraduate from a school like Texas to Pitt? Any input would be helpful! Thanks!

I'm planning on majoring in business and I want to go to an elite MBA school such as Columbia. I really like the fact about Alabama that my tuition ...

what advice would you give???? DEAR ABBY: I am a single mother finishing my undergraduate degree in English. I have a 6-year-old son. His father, "Gil," and I are on great terms. We kept everything out of the courts, and he pays me monthly child support. Gil sees our son whenever he likes, which is often. I have an opportunity to go to law school 200 miles away, and I'm considering leaving ...
