I know this is more a personal workflow question, but... Now that I have access to a V700 (for 35mm) at my school I'm kind of regretting having my film uncut (only a recent half-dozen rolls, but shots were improving). The only reason I was doing it that way was to avoid the per-frame fee places typically charge for cut strips. Assuming I figure out the V700, do you think I ...

Definitely cut yourself. I prefer strips of 6, both my flatbed and negative scanner scan six frames. I've asked labs before if they can just set their cutting machine to different lengths and they said no. And depending on the tech, they will cut EVERYTHING, when anyone who actually cares to look (i.e. you) can see that there are empty frames of film that don't need to be saved...I've ...

I have had same experience too. I went to my lab and keep the roll in my CD case. I need them to scan it. Back to home, I cut them.
