I took a big hit to my "funny bone" or Ulnar nerve last weekend at work and ever since my fourth and fifth fingers on my left (fretting) hand have been numb and tingling like they are asleep. I went to the doctor and he said to take a ton of advil and come back if it doesn't get better. Anyway my dilemma is this. I have two pick up gigs next weekend with two bands that I have never played with...

Hi, I have a ulnar nerve problem in my left arm/hand what results in muscle loss in my left hand. The doctors here in The Netherlands (Europe) tell me that they can do nothing about it. Because this is my writing hand and my work as an artist will become difficult I want to ask if anyone knows a good specialist (anywhere in the world) that can give me a second opinion? Thanks in ...

My left elbow has begin to seem like I have damage to my ulnar nerve. When I do curls my nerve (by the elbow) moves. Like its a painful move like it is moving out of a socket. At times I can feel that it is out of placement and I will have to flex hard my left arm to get the nerve to move/pop back into place or atleast a comfortable position. This has also caused my pinky and index finger to...

According to my doctor, the ulnar nerve in my left arm is inflammed- thereby causing pain in my elbow and causing some of my fingers to experience tingling/numbness. I have taken off over 5 weeks from working out while icing my elbow and taking NSAIDs. I just started taking Celebrex about 10 days ago. Even though I've given my elbow ample rest, I don't feel like its getting much better. I ...

Hi all, I had ulnar nerve transposition on October 27, 2009. I am a little over 3 weeks post op and am still in horrible pain.My surgeon told me that this was a difficult surgery, but I can't believe how long it is taking to heal. A little history. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery in late January. Went back to work for only 3 weeks, and lifted an orthopedic tray and felt a...

So this is a random thing that has been bothering me for awhile, it sort of comes and goes. My elbow will crack or pop when im extending fore-arm while bearing weight. The example of the motion that would most cause this to happen would be doing a bicep curl, I can go up just fine but on the way down when my fore arm hits 90 degree to upper arm then my elbow will sort of lock up ...

Hi all... Well, to make a long story short i suffered a recent motorcycle accident where i received a severe, deep abrasion injury to the top and edge of my right shoulder. Ever since that time i have had complete numbness of ring and knife-edge of my right hand...does anyone know if any nerves travel through that specific area. I have conductivity tests later this month, but i am concerned ...

I have ulner nerve damage in both arms. The left is worse than the right. I've had it about two years and have learned to play with it. Not sure what caused it originally but, mine is complicated by diabetes and it's likely to never go away. I can play just fine but watch my hands alot because I can barely feel the strings with my fretting hand. take it easy if your doc says it's likely to get ...

Thanks for the info. I'm a auto technician by the way, I guess I forgot to write that. I really need full function in my hand/arm. I'm still weak and the elbow is in pain all the time at the point of the surgery. The surgery was in August, so its been a while. The pinkie and ring fingers are numb and tingly too. My arm and hand have no muscle tone, I can't even do push-ups! The Dr says that's ...

just a quick question or two for you. have you ever actually had a c spine MRI done just to see if there is some level of real spinal problem underlying in all this? have they ever done what is called an EMG/NCV on you to just see how far up the problem goes and to look for where the actual impairment begins? the EMG also checks out nerve flow velocity too so it would show if this nerve did just ...
