I have attempted an install of Ubuntu Studio 9.10 from DVD without success several times. I downloaded the ISO, burned it to DVD and attempted the install. The install proceeds normally through partitioning the drive, but fails at installing base packages. I had a really rough time switching over my recording software. Maybe it was my video card or the fact that the linux root partition was not near the beginning of the disk. I was using a live CD, Studio To Go. I tried Ubuntu Studio 9.10, 64 Studio, but had problems (lock ups / installs failures). US 8.04 seems to be really stable and no need to run a CD now. Anyone else using US ?

Bonjour à tous! En tant qu'ancien utilisateur Gentoo, manquant du temps de s'occupper de la recompilation du système, j'ai décidé d'installer Ubuntu Studio en dernière vérsion sur ma bécane. Evidemment que je suis déçu du manque de flexibilité de la distro, vu les libertés dont je disposais auparavant, je m'en doutais bien et accepte les réstrictions... en principe tout fonctionne à merveille!...
