I'm new to this, so I'll just jump in. I need to replace a cracked barrel on an otherwise beautiful like new Uberti 1866 Yellow Boy with about 3K worth of factory hand engraving on it. It is chambered 44-40. I'm researching to locate a barrel that is stateside, or I'll special order one. The replacement cost is really fair. I've seen $213 to $260. Anyway, what I really want to know is......

Uberti makes a gorgeous Lightening; does anyone have experience with it? I have had a Uberti 1866 Winchester in .45 Colt for 8 years and it is my favorite rifle. Their Lightening is exquisite looking, but very expensive new. I have a chance to buy a used one in what appears 98% condition for $650; what do you think?

I believe this was only made for a few years, back in the 70/80's. I have a Uberti 45lc and I ...

Just bought a Uberti 1873 Cattleman Cody .45. Love the gun but it is a little stiff. I have been reading everywhere that I should get a "action tune-up" (replace some springs, polish, etc. to really improve the gun). Anyone have any recomendations on a professional gunsmith that specializes in the Uberti SA's and does this type of work?

Can someone please verify the correct nipple to purchase for an Uberti made Walker. I believe the proper number is: 11-50-13 (for a single nipple) 11-50-136 (for six nipples) I have no idea how to cross reference these numbers to TOTW.

Paid $1300....hate to sell it, but have to. $950 or best offer. Just PM me with an email address ...

I currently use a Rem 760 pump for whitetail deer hunting in the mountains of norther Vermont. Terrain is characterized by mountains and bogs, thick thickets or blown over brush. Conditions are usually cold and snot but warm and rain were true this year. Shots are almost always less than 100yds usually 25 to 75yds. Am considering options for a new deer gun. I love the pump action ...

bostonherald.com — A Bath & Body Works staffer who practices witchcraft claims her boss put a hex on her career for using vacation time to attend Salem's annual Halloween celebration. Don'r convert the 44-40 to 45. It is virtually the perfect gun in 44-40 with no blowback and virtually no feeding problems (except for re-loading errors). The ladle is notoriously weak in all of the 66/73s. I pulled mine out the first week I had it and re-enforced the cartridge stop with a big wad of JB Weld. Over two years now with no problems. I load a full case of FFg and love it. The ...
