Ok, my question. I'm seriously considering a change my line of work in the next year, and the idea of a BLM/USFS job really appeals, but I want to hear from anyone here with good/bad things to say. Consulting is pulling me well away from my major (Geology/Forestry) with no signs of getting better, and I'm not old enough yet to just accept a career that makes me hate ...

SFWDA, UFWDA and Blue Ribbion Coalition have filed an appeal USFS on the Tellico Closure. The FS has 45 days to review the appeal and make a decsion. After which, we can file a law suit if the appeal is denied. Fight is still alive everyone! Quote: Originally Posted by JC NC The Rescue Tellico coalition, SFWDA, UFWDA ...

What is the best way to get to Springer Mt AT intersection of USFS 42 from Dahlonega with a VW Passat sedan? I'm guessing... Go Rt 60 past airport to Cooper Gap Rd, then USFS 42 to Hightower Gap, continue USFS 42 to Springer Mt intersection with AT? Are there markers along the way I should look for? (I understand a shorter way, Rt 52 to Nimblewood Church Rd to USFS 28/77 to USFS 42 is ...

Moving right now is not really an option since the wife is still in school and we've got a baby on the way (end of May). But... assuming the housing market recovers someday we may be able to in the next couple of years. Yee Haw Andy

Yes. That is how is always has been, and probably always will be. Anyone who took that selection announcement as anything but the USFS making sure the decision was all theirs and not the IOC's, was just shooting in a rain barrel IMO. The top 2 will go to Olys, weather we think they deserve to be the top 2 or not.
