i want/need a 4 port USB hub to work with my macbook air, but the El Cheapo i just bought, while "working", doesn't see/recognise my iphone. Doesn't have sufficient power? It (the hub) is connected only via the single Macbook Air USB port, so it isn't powered. Were I to get a powered USB hub, would that do it? Is there a specification I should look for that will allow me to plug my iphone...

This is strictly speaking not a LabVIEW problem, per se, but it is causing me problems with my LabVIEW code. I'm building (and building, and building) a test system that has a USB6221 Daq card, two USB -RS485 adapters and a USB based Zebra printer. Originally I had most of these connected to a D-Link DUB-H7 powered 7 port hub, but I've slowly been moving things around to try and resolve...

Anyone have a recommendation for a powered USB hub (4+ ports) that works reliably with an MBA? Getting some issues on a non-brand name, powered usb hub. MBA stops seeing the hub, requiring it to be unplugged and plugged back in. Devices work fine (iPhone, printer) when connected directly, issues when using hub. Thanks, -J...

Quote - (DigitalManifestations @ Nov 22 2009, 19:31) Ahh I understand why you'd want to avoid the Viewsonic then. I may get it for myself as I need something with a nice, vibrant display but also within a nice, low budget. I'd recommend the P2350 personally. Higher contrast ratio, better response time (although the difference between 2 and 5ms isn't great, if noticeable). Unless ...
