We absolutely love using USAA for all of our insurance (home, rental and 2 cars), and have been thrilled with their customer service. Lo and behold I open a letter from them this afternoon to find my yearly dividend from the car insurance in the form of a $56 dollar check! Woohoo....random bonus snowflake for December!!! Just had to share my happy news!

I talked with a USAA rep about a recent credit card decline. She indicated that the initial maximum credit for new members is $25,000. I recently applied for the checking and savings account as a non-military member. I applied for the MC and was instantly approved online after about 30 seconds for $30,000. I recently started my ROTH with USAA a few months ago and only have about $1000. I'm working on maxing it every year. Does anyone have an opinion regarding using USAA for my ROTH compared to Vanguard. Is there is much difference, would it be worth it to move? Or is USAA a good place? My fund is USBSX.

Decided to apply to USAA for checking and savings account. Applied for rewards MC and instant approval for 30K. Can I apply for the AMEX using the same EQ CR? If same EQ CR used, do I apply over the phone or by internet? Got the MC via internet on USAA website. I know Navy pulls a new CR for each credit product. Does anyone know policy of USAA? Applied and approved yesterday....

Just got a nice surprise in the mail: The annual auto dividend check. It's $125 this year for me ... definitely helps offset Christmas expenses. I just wish they'd insure my house, too. Damn hurricanes.

Hello, As part of my asset allocation, I need to contribute to a bond fund. I can contribute to USAIX (USAA income fund) in a 403b or PTTAX (Pimco total return fund) in a 457b. The USAA fund has an expense ratio of .65% and the Pimco fund, .90%. Neither has a load. Both contain bonds with simlar ratings. I just PCSed back to Germany (I was at Ramstein from 03-06), and I was wondering how many insurance options are out there. USAA is quoting me $300+ a month with a $500 deductible. That's a lot to me since I pay $445 a month for my auto loan. bigrone was telling me about Atlantic Trust, and they're just as high. So are there any more options out there?!

Earlier today I got the normal 2 B* from EQ by using USAA, CCT, MCK. I had to wait till 5 p.m. to pull MPM, but between my pulls on the first three which usually results in 2B*, and the pull on MPM where I normally get the third B*, EQ marked my 11 medical baddies under investigation because of the second HIPAA letter I sent. With it updated I pulled MPM and got no 3rd B*. Wondering if ...
