I thought I would bring up a vexing problem that bedevils tourists visiting Thailand. Many Americans [and others] visit Thailand. In the process, they convert their home currency into Thai Baht. That's the easy part. The hard part is to try to re-convert Thai baht BACK into your home currency when you find you've too much and are ready to head back home. This was a problem in Japan...

How exactly would you find 40% of something in US Dollars? I've been trying to find some stuff out with money, but I cannot find the percentage for a discount I have. Any help here? (and no, I don't think this belongs in the helpdesk, since I could get multiple answers).

Do I come with US dollars to tip guide and pay for trhings or it is easier to go to the teller machine and withdraw thai baths ? Or a combination of both ? What is the maximum you can withdraw for a teller machine? We are a family of 4 ....money seems to disappear quickly....especially when most places don't let you use your credit card? What should we do?

We are getting ready for a 5 day trip to Singapore and I'm wondering if I need to plan to change into some Singapore dollars for walking around money, taxi from airport to hotel and other kinds of cash needs. I'd appreciate ideas on this.

@all, not 300 Mio. US dollars earnings but revenues, sorry. Earnings in such a size would be a bit to much for a soccer club but maybe sometimes down the road who knows.

bobwt, I would also like to point out that Simpson has taken us, and many others for 100's of thousands of dollars. This is apparently his third go around and no one has called him on his scam. Why allow this to continue? Why is TiMMi allowing him to do this?
