Ok I have to be honest, I`m just to plan lazy to dig out the old machine and do up a .bin file. Does anybody have a .bin file for a FM92 remote for UHF CB ie 1-48 no scan, no selcal, just basic UHF CB????? If you could send it to me fm92@vhq07.com I have actually been very busy at work and am just to buggered to find the old dos machine, Cheers Yobbo

934MHz is now slap bang in middle of GSM/GPRS/EDGE Phone Basestation Transmit band. It's very much used and was in use in 2007. In UK 880 .. 915 & 925 .. 960MHz is GSM-R, GSM-E and GSM-P Here 880 .. 884 and 925 .. 929 is empty but assigned in theory to CIE.

I agree with Yogie 5W will give you good range The gme i believe can be tricked up a bit in the watts as they are programmable its the same old story you only get what you pay for The gme can also be set to a half channel so if you have other mates with the same set you dont have to worry about others butting in they can hear you but cant transmit over the top of you WELL my 2cents ...

There are many ways to check an antenna besides the ohm meter check which is pretty much a complete waste of time. for example...if you had a broken wire/connection internal to one of these antennas that normally don't show a short when checking it with an ohmmeter how would you know that it was normal? OK, I installed a CB in my Jeep this weekend...went today to RS and picked up their "Tunable Fiberglass Whip" antenna (their P/N 21-973). Now I'm no newb when it comes to antennas...I hold an Advanced FCC ham license (KB1MM)...I've tuned many. many antennas in my 30 years of "hamdom", wire dipoles, yagis, mobile antennas, HF, VHF,UHF antennas but for some reason, I can't get this one to ...
