Hi all, considering using my 15k5 seagates in a new win 7 build. U320 drives, not sas. So i need a U320 card that will work under win 7. Drives are SCA interface, but I have adapters. I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard yet. Does anyone know if the HMV-U320-R-600M will run in that OS? Do I need a firmware update and is the firmware still available? Also, I'm looking into upping the capacity. Is there a list of compatible drives?

just upgraded to OSX 10.5.8 and ever since I have not been able to render out to my U320 Not from FCP 6.0.6 and not from AE CS3. I can play back fine and copy to and from the drives fine -- but rendering, no. I've only been working at ProRes 422. any thoughts? do I need a new driver? perhaps a new operator?

I have 4 U320's this is the first one to have a problem. Everything running fine then all of a sudden constant beep and the ACT indicator is flashing - I can still edit but clearly this indicates a drive is down. How do I determine which on it is - and what is the next step? Thanks........Al

I have a Gateway 980 server and it has 2 SCSI backplane cages in it. I've read alot on the gateway site that it can handle up to 73GB U160 hard drives. Then on another page it says that it is compatible with U320. I'm curious if anyone knows if the documentation is just old for the time and that it can handle a higher capacity SCSI hard drive? OK I had not priced this stuff in a long time and the price I had in mind is way to high. How about $60 total plus actual shipping. The drives and hot swap bays weigh 21 pounds bare and not boxed. I will ship it however you want and you pay actual shipping only plus 60 bucks. Let me know

Unfortunately, this board doesn't have enough PCIe-Slots. I'd like to take my current 8800GTS 512 "Black Pearl" over to the upcoming system, then I need a "main" graphics card, my U320-RAID-Controller (Dual Slot), and the possibility of beeing able to add a SAS-RAID-Controller. I'm not talking about the sound card, yet. The PCI-Slot will be occupied with an IDE-Controller for my Plextor Premium....

Lsi u320-2x, was the later Perc4s.... Bummer if it has changed. It still maybe possible, as you had to delete the volume (forgot to mention that), recreate the exact same drive selection, choose the new stripe size, but not initialize, then there would be a fast background initialization, you were good to go.
