Hey Y'all!! I went for Tysabri #15 this morning. No hives or other problems!! I took a book and worked on some Sudoku. Came home, had lunch and a nap!! All that sitting is exhausting!! I seem to have a little more energy after infusions and the 'brain fog' seems to clear. I recommend Tysabri to anyone who asks!! We've had some rain and cooler weather. Not like Dave's but...

I have an option to switch from Rebif to Tysabri and I am having a hard time with the decision. On a monthly basis I would have to: Drive 350 miles (seven hours on the road) Pay for fuel ($50?) Pay $200 for the infusion out of pocket (rest would be covered by insurance) Right now I'm on Rebif, and even though I hate it, I am thinking I might just stay on it. What do ...

Québec's Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) announced that effective October 1, 2008, Tysabri(TM) was added to its provincial formulary making Québec the first province in Canada to list the medication. This treatment has been shown to reduce the frequency of clinical relapses, delay the progression of disability and decrease the number and volume of active brain lesions. ...

Hi Peg, I was just wondering what your view on Tysabri was? I just had my 1st infusion Oct. 2nd. Everything went well...but I keep worrying myself about PML. I do suffer with extreme anxiety already. I just keep trying to tell myself that there are approx. 30,000 on this treatment now.....and it's doing it's job. Thanks Peg. I know I'm a worry wort. I just think the more I talk and ...

Replying to: Tysabri #15 Hi, Megan!! I hope to be able to help you feel more comfortable about the "big T." I've lived with this MonSter for 20+ years. Did A, B, R, Novantrone and now Tysabri. I'm 55 and still moving (slowly with cane, occasional scooter, rarely a transport chair, and my red Segway!) I haven't gained or lost weight due to T. I had hives a ...

Many thanks for the replies. Maybe (probably) fear of Tysabri makes it easier for me to lean towards sticking with Rebif. In reading Natatude's rely (and MSGeorges posts) I feel like I definitely need to do more research on switching. Time and money could be a small price to pay for longer mobility, working, etc. I'd like to be there for my wife and kids as long as possible. ...
