I have been sitting here thinking about this. I feel strongly that Tysabri uptake will spike by summer or fall. Doctors will become aware of the assay very quickly. Every patients on tysabri will take the assay. Some may drop but most will remain on the drug. The company indicated that they are going to give monthly updates going forward. I am sure that the update will include if the ...

So Mullen said there were currently 48,000 Tysabri patients as of now. Remember when he (and ELN) predicted there would be 100,000 patients on Ty by the end of 2010? I remember it, and I also remember that at the time of that prediction, the end of 2010 seemed so far away. Now it IS 2010, and there are only 51 weeks until the end of 2010. So using simple math... 48,000 patients now...

Question: How is Tysabri administered & how often? Are there any side effects from this drug? Is this drug recommended by neuro's because all else has failed with the "crab" drugs? It is now 9:00 pm central standard time in Houston. I realize that most of my MS friends have shut it down for the night. Tomorrow will be fine for the answer to these questions............. Ed

After a nasty fall about three weeks ago my neuro would not let me have my infusion scheduled for 3 days after the fall. She wanted to see me after the holidays and before my next scheduled infusion on Jan. 13th. Well, after hearing that my major fatigue, and leg weakness and soreness, returned with a vengeance, she responded by saying something along the line of 'it's pretty obvious ...

Interesting that the clinical trial was terminated in Dec and yet the indication is still on both ELN and BIIBs website. I am having a difficult time reconciling that. If the trial was unsuccessful you would think the companies would have removed it from their pipeline. Is it possible that the drug worked so well they stopped the trial early? If this was the case I would have ...

Happy new year everyone..., here is a post from a Tysabri patient on a very popular private MS board (she is upset that her doctors wants to take her off Tysabri and place her on Copaxone-which are daily shots-including IVIG treatments), and my reply for everyone to see on that MS board..., hopefully we will have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2010, at least that is my ...

From good old rainy Washington. 2010 should see vast improvements, increase in Tysabri use as risk of PML is more fully understood, and further advancements in the AD drug trials. We close the chapter on 2009 and advance towards the promised land! Buy and hold for 1 year and 4 1/2 months. You will be well rewarded!

I was very happy with JM’s openness. He was very positive on Tysabri and again reinforced the efficacy argument and the fact that Tysabri has brought about a paradigm shift from trying to slow disease progression to one of actually improving the MS condition. He mentioned lots of data and evidence of this and the fact that the assay will open up possibilities of advancing...
