Maybe the hardest thing for young pilot like me with JAA CPL ME/IR, ATPL frozen and 300hrs piston total time with some 20 hrs on multi is to find any job on JET aircrafts. So I'm thinking..would it be worth to invest in type rating on some Cessna Citation and hoping to find job maybe easier than without any type? On the other side, who would hire me with 300 hrs of total time with type ...

From FlightGlobal Quote: In another tip of the hat to the aircraft's airline heritage, operators can also find a ready supply of pilots skilled at flying the 850, given that the same type rating applies to the CRJ100/200, Challenger 604 business jet and Challenger 850. Same type rating?? Never seen this before, is it correct under FAA? ...

Hi all, I'm currently considering a type rating and just wanted to get some general opinions as to which type may offer better employment prospects. The two types I have been looking at are the B737-3/4/5+NG differences or the Airbus A320. From what I've seen so far it looks like a fairly even split on which type to train for. My experience is 1400TT. Mainly C206 & Caravan. ...

I have heard of folks paying for a type rating once they reach a certain number of hours to help facilitate advancing their career. What Say YOU? Would this be considered pay to play, taking someone else spot, or some other iteration of stepping on someone's toes? I really am quite in the dark on this and I am just wondering you the JC community thinks. I want to make sure I am ...

I've heard many conflicting opinions on whether spell-type combat rating bypasses physical mitigation or just adds to your total dps and does physical damage. If it bypasses physical resists then spells like molten flesh could cause you to heal people if you have combat rating(fire), am I correct? Should it go through physical invuln you could also theoretically hit harder with the same dps ...

there are plenty of those scumbag outfits, where you have the HONOR of paying for your job! If you want to pay to get time in a 737, buy your own. Quit fueling this "pay for breathing $hit" that our fk'd up industry is becoming. Besides, if you have 9000 hours and 3000 737, and you can't find a job, then I don't know?! Sounds fishy...

What happened to the thousands of qualified resumes the so called docter said he had from people begging to work at Midex. Just another lie. So now they are trying to get people to pay for there own type rating on a dinosaur. Anyone would be crazy to do this for a job at Midex.
