( I had my Lap Band on the 9th of Nov. and was losing good on the liquid diet. But when I have started the solids I have been gaining weight about a 1/2 a pound a night. I have been following the diet given by my dr. office and have been increasing my level of exerise. I have been gaining weight now for over a week. I am now up 4 pounds. I feel this is a little more tha****er weight. Any ...

Two weeks ago today I had my DS. Some things have been a lot easier than I thought, and some things a little tougher. Overall, I’m doing well and have lost about 15 pounds. I’m not focusing on that number because I know my body is still balancing out fluids – I had a 9 pound weight swing the day I went to the hospital for IV fluids. Also, my stomach is still swollen up like a beach ball….but ...

( Thought I'd share for those pre-ops stalking the boards. :\) I was two weeks out yesterday. Recovery for me hasn't been the easiest road ever but I'm getting there. So far, fluids haven't been an issue. I don't have to take these baby tiny sips that I thought I would have to post-op. I can take two normal drinks, same size as pre-op but I can't glug down a huge glass of water at ...

I haven't posted much but wanted to share that I had my revision with Dr. Williams at Emory Johns Creek on Oct. 15th and it went great! It was actually more painful and difficult the first day and a half than the first time (and that one was open!). But I am 9 plus years older so I guess that is to be expected. Pre-op I had lost 15 and now since surgery have lost another 16 lbs... so I...

I have always said that I don't recommend the GBP or any other WLS because it was a long, HARD decision to change my life in a majorly HARD way...forever. That it's a very personal decision. Well, maybe it will change with time but for the first week after having Fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty I cried "what have I done???" It was the most painful surgery I've been through. I...

Today, December 03, 2009, 5 hours ago | Michael Shedlock Here is a good story courtesy of the Arizona Republic: Cash-short Ariz. maxes out new line of credit . The state's cash-flow problems are so dire that it took less than two weeks for government to tap the entire $700 million loan it had borrowed to help with short-term needs. State ...

Do you think we'll miss him? From the St. Pete Times: Quote: Michael Clayton out 1-2 weeks; no punter decision just yet We've learned WR Michael Clayton's knee sprain will sideline him for a week or two. The exact nature of the injury isn't yet clear, but it will almost certainly cause him to miss Sunday's trip to Charlotte where the ...

( I think you should post on the lap band board and you'll see more responses. I don't think it's a huge deal just two weeks out to gain a little bit. The hardest thing to do right now, is to stay off the scale, but you need to. Your job right now, is to heal from surgery...not to lose weight. If you have to, have someone hide the scale from you! ,)

ElementalWind... are you trying to show exactly what the execute bit does? Skel said turn off the x bit to prevent 'ls /home1/users'. Turning off the x bit does not prevent that. Turning off the r bit does.

I don't know how old your son is but you need to look at where he goes everyday. If it is school, he is probably getting it again from someone who is untreated.
