I bought my mom a new cheapie Asus laptop at Best Buy last week for only $249. It has a Celeron 900 under the hood - nothing to brag about, but it will do the job for her, since she emails and browses the web - that's about it. I just bought an Hp pavilion dv7-1451nr. vista, turion 64 x2 ultra @ 2.2 ghz 2mb L2 cache ZM-82, 4 gigs ram, 500 hdd, ati 3200. It is an awesome notebook...runs really smooth and fast. I am just wondering what is your opinions on these turions.....especially the ultra?? And what are the intel equivilents to the turions?? thanks in advance.

Der Rechner läuft jetzt wieder. Habe das Setup einfach 100mal (gefühlt) probiert und jetzt mein mit vlite "optimiertes" Vista drauf. Werde jetzt mal probieren den Lüfter zu reinigen und wenn ich rausgefunden habe wie ich Treiber für SATA Festplatten ins XP-Setup einbinde werde ich vllt auf XP umsteigen. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

Ja, ich hatte auch mal einen Sempron 3200+ auf 1,6GHz, der war dermaßen heiß (54° im Idle), dass der Lüfter so laut wie eine Turbine war und dauernd auf max rpm lief. Die Hölle . Das mit der unterschiedlichen Spannung rührt vom Energiesparmodus her. Wenn die CPU runtertaktet, geht auch die Spannung runter, sonst würde ja kaum Strom gespart werden.
