Hi, I am thinking of flying in to Turin, and directly take a train to Milan . I have two questions: The first is that inTrenitalia website for Turin both the stations are shown TO P.N. in black, TO S.N in red, what does this mean? The second question is how to get to either of the stations from the airport. The airport website mentions GTT Dora Railway Station. ...

Porta Susa is probably best, as it's nearer the airport and on the current timetable all trains to Milan stop there. From December 13 there will be some trains from Porta Nuova to Milan which do not stop at Porta Susa - but these will be three times the price of the cheapest trains so you may not want them anyway. I want to travel from Turin to Briancon on 26th Dec 2009. I'm finding it difficult to find timetable info for this. Does anybody know if trains/buses are running as it's a bank holiday?

You can find no trains to Oulx on the trenitalia site as the timetables change on 13.12.09 and have not yet been uploaded. On previous years' experience, do not expect these to be uploaded until a couple of weeks before the thirteenth, and times may not change much. Similarly with the buses from Oulx www.montagnedoc.it/admin/media/1216.pdf but these may become more frequent...

that's a great help, thanks Irish Rovr. I think I'll be looking at taking the train to Oulx and seeing what I can do from there as my flight doesn't land at Turin until 10.50. However, I've just been onto the Trenitalia web site and there doesn't appear to be any trains from Torino to Oulx on 26th. Dec. But if you search for trains on saturday in November - same destination - ...
