Trimming a variable Hi I need to remove some characters from a variable which gets populated from a listbox. e.g in the list box you have branchname + branchcode = Eastside (5600). Any suggestions as to the best freeware (or low price shareware) utility to do basic (non-lossy) AVCHD file trimming in Windows 7? I've got a Canon HF S10 camcorder which creates seperate MTS files for each sequence, most of which have some junk footage at the start or end which I simply want to roughly crop off - but without harming or re-encoding the main video or embedded timecode/etc...

Trimming a non-consistent string length I have a bunch of entries that are like this: Bud Bundy (123456) Rick Astley (1234) The numbers in the parenthesis are either 4 digits or 6 digits. I am trying to write a macro that trims the numbers and keeps just the name from the range that I've selected. I tried using ...

What design option are they using exactly to create the trimming for the singlets? I'm seeing people with characters wearing singlets but the singlets may be black with white trimming.... How are they doing this. It looks so damn cool. Thanks alot for any tips.

Lynn, please see if you can explain what I just read in a magazine. "Women with chin to shoulder length hair should have sublayers or pointy cuts. The stylist holds his scissors vertically and snips into the ends of hair all around the hair's perimeter. It softens ends so as your hair grows, it will continue to look just like you left the salon. I simply "don't get it". Thank you. Happy B

A guy I know got pissed and snapped his 58* SM Vokey. Just left the head laying, said he didn't want it, so I took it home. Buddy of mine told me if I shaft it and grip it he'd like to try it out. I've got a TT DG S100 shaft at home. How much do I need to cut off the tip for that head?

Since this is a topic that has been brought up several times, and since I had a dog who was at one point intolerant of having his nails and paws handled, I wanted to post this. I've been meaning to share this for some time now, but had lost my uplink cable for my camera. I only did one nail for the clip, and was by myself, so the filming is pretty shaky... and my phone is going off... and my ...

I'm not sure if this is the right forum. Lavender is a herb, but the one in my garden is a huge bush, about 6 feet round and three feet high at its highest point. It seems to be doing all right on its own. I haven't touched it since we bought the place over 2 years ago. The house was rented for several years and I'm guessing no tenant put this plant in. The last owner occupant of our ...

I have a few youngsters - about 3 weeks from seed - whose roots are starting to storm through the bottom of the 1" RW cube. My goal is to keep them in the 1" for as long as possible then move them into 4"x4" cubes. To do this, is it safe to trim the roots as they poke through the bottom of the 1"? word, -Colour

I used the new QuickTime with Snow Leopard to trim off about 50% of a movie file with scenes I didn't need. The goal was to save hard drive space as the file is quite large. For some strange reason, even though I deleted 50% of the file's scenes, the file size is exactly the same. Is there something I'm missing here?...

The author has marked this message not to be archived. This post will be deleted on December 5, 2009. =x= I can answer your Subject: line in the affirmative if you would kindly trim the last eight words off of it. =x= Trimming out the four newsgroups where you're incessantly off-topic and unwanted would also be nice, and might actually help lead towards having that question ...

I haven't found much on this sight about this condition. Is it really that rare? I got it in my left eye and I'm looking for tips on coping with it, living with it and trimming down the length of the outbreaks. I'm on Acyclovir 800 twice a day when not on an outbreak and 5 times when I do. I have been popping these things like candy and eating healthy and my outbreak still hasn't gone completely ...
