I understand that the trigger pull of a hammerless gun tends to be heavier because of the spring forces necessary to compensate for the absence of hammer mass. Does the 638 have what would be considered a hammer of enough mass to have a "normal" DA trigger pull? In other words, is the DA trigger pull of a 638 lighter than a 642? Is the DA trigger pull of a 638 typically the same as, or ...

I have seen this Para Carry 9. I was wondering what a new purchase price is "good". I am also wondering what the "LDA" action pull is on these? I handled it yesterday and it feels solid. It does have the "fiber optic" front site on it also, 2 mags. This is the "black" model [covert black? Really? Please... ]. It seems that these are pretty hard to find and this one has ...

What are the steps involved in changing the trigger pull in your 1911. if it makes any difference, more specifically a springfield loaded or a springfield XD(M)? also, what would be the tools required for this modification?

ok so im sorry if this sounds stupid but I couldn't find anything on it. just got my vice love it and love how it shoots I just wish the trigger pull could be a little longer. Its the stock trigger and I have tried adjusting it (got long fingers and don't like short pulls) any sort of grinding I can do on anything to make it longer/a trigger I could buy that would be a bit longer? (not more than ...

Hi again. (-: I'm considering using my series 1991 .45 auto for "Bullseye" competition as well as IDPA. How may pounds have you guys who shoot "Bullseye" been trimming your trigger pull to? I'm thinking 2 /12 lbs. Ed

Can someone point me towards a reference for the stages of a trigger pull? I'm considering getting some trigger work done on my XD and want to use the proper terminology.

My Citori xs special had doubled shot 3 times on the last 2 outings. Each time it's been with factory shells, 3 dram equiv, and 1.8 oz of shot. Has been fine on 2 3/4 dram equiv. factory loads, and a few 1 oz reloads. This is a used gun I just bought and is suspossed to be in great shape. The original owner has said it done it before upon occasion, some time back. This gun has had about 10k ...

I have a double action pistol that has adjustable sights. When I shoot it in single action I am hitting three inches left at twelve yards. When I shoot it double action at twelve yards I am dead on center. Two issues I would like input on. The first is that twelve yards just happened to be the distance the backstop was at but you can never know the actual distance you may need to fire from (this ...

Hi guys and gals, Well here I am, finally in a position to pull the trigger on a new Nikon set-up. Many in the Nikon forums have already given me great advice, so thank you :) I had come to the conclusion that the D300s was the way to go. I planned to back that up with a 50mm 1.4g and Sigma 150mm F2.8 macro (for portrait work too). To start me off... So what's the big deal, what's my ...
Single triggers on double barrel guns have to be pulled three times in order for the second barrel to be shot. The first two happen with the first shot--the conscious pull and the involuntary pull. The third pull is actually the second conscious pull. I would send the gun to Browning and let them fix it. Dan

The ONLY doubling I have ever experienced has been with my Brownings - two to be exact - they have a LOT of rounds - one over 90,000 and the other over 50,000 - neither's cause was due to operator error but due to worn parts. Once replaced, no issues

LDA apparently has a long trigger pull? And breaks at 6 pounds - not horrible but more than I would really like. $750.00 eh? It seems that most I have found on line are retail or 899.00. I saw one for about 775 but with shipping and transfer fee - the $795.00 or so looks as good as it will get.
