I own/have owned several Series 1 Kimbers and none of them had what I would consider decent triggers. I know I am very particular about that and I also hear that many people are satisfied with the stock trigger. Another thing all these guns had in common was that they were very accurate. With that in mind I decided to upgrade the fire control system. I ordered and installed a Cylinder ...

I posted this on another forum and since the Double D is the one who replied I thought I woudl move it here to his teritory. The trigger pull on my Martini Henry Francotte is very stiff. It is so still that my son cannot pull it. He would like to shoot the old girl but he cannot pull the trigger. Is this normal? I have a replacement firing pin spring-- is that the issue? Any ...

I was wondering how many ppl shot a gun with a trigger job on it. I shoot a rem 700 6mm with a 3/4lb trigger. That is my lightest trigger but all my guns have a trigger job on them. Just sitting here wondering.

Hello, I now own four 45ACPs. A Springfield TRP Operator, Colt's New Agent, Colt Lightweight Commander XSE and MetroArms American Classic II. All of them have 4.5-5.0 lbf triggers, measured with a 20lbf scale very repeatably, except the TRP Operator. My TRP Operator always had a lighter but now it seems to be very light.....almost too light. I consistently measured the TRP ...

I took my wife's Smith & Wesson 386 Sc/S .357 (2") to a Smith to have the double-action trigger pull lightened. He did a fine job. While there, I should have asked about making the single action pull heavier. It is very light. Uncomfortably, so. I do not have the knowledge to do any stoning or adjustments myself. However, if it is just a matter of a part swap, I'll dive...

I have been trying to find a thread where some one listed the parts from Wilson Combat( but Wilson is not the only ones I would use) I believe to change out the MSH internals on a Park'd loaded. I want to do this because I have read that changing the spring in the MSH will lighten the trigger pull. So I have 2 questions 1. Will changing the MSH spring (and what lb to use) lighten the trigger ...

Interarms 22 mag/lr revolver trigger pull..... Hi all, I need to adjust the trigger pull on this revolver. It is the Virginian model, if that helps. Is there an adjustment on it? It has a hair trigger, that I don't like.

I finally got to play with my Trooper MkIII 22 Magnum, unfortunately not at the range yet. As was noted in a previous thread, the 22 caliber MkIIIs use a unque main spring, which apparently for the sake of identification is coded by being colored red. I have two of them for corroboration but do not know the actual specification. With the proper spring installed, the SA pull is 4.5 to 5 lbs and ...

Yes, I did a search for this topic and came up with many comments but nothing that answered this question. If I install a "short trigger" will the length of the trigger pull be any shorter? I can't stand the extremely long DA pull in my 229. I seem to be "pulling" all of my DA shots to the right, then back on target with the SA SRT. Very irritating to say the least!! I imagine that with practice ...

Check your disconnector, Mine had molding lines all the way around it and a little time with a fine diamond stone on the contact surfaces cleaned up the trigger pull considerably. A also slightly adjusted the sear spring and went with a 20lb mainspring. Ended up with a crisp clean 4lb trigger. Be carefull not to change the angles on the disconnector just polish out any flaws.
