I drained and changed the filter on my trans and I refilled it with 7 quarts. I read on here to start off with 7 quarts and go from there but the dipstick is telling me I have way too much fluid. Its showing over an inch above the full mark. I started the engine and shifted through all the gears and checked it with the engine idleing, it was high. I drove it a few minutes, still high. ...

I have near 145K on my tranny, fluid never changed, slight grind in winter, want to drain and fill, should I use what I got? Lubro Moly Fully Synthetic Gear Oil GL5 SAE 75W-90 Or go with OEM?

I have a 2005 nissan titan with 125,000 on it. the trans has never been serviced and none of the 4wheel drive has been either. I worked in a oil change shop for years but never got to flush a titan so I was wandering if anybody could tell me what type or transmission fluid would go in this thing. thanks alot guys

We just rebuilt the tranny in a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS auto 2.0 non-turbo. We put Dexron III in it. Would that work or not? Just needing some input thanks!

Here we go...Just rebuilt a 4L60E transmission on a 2001 Suburban. I am receiving a message (not an error code) on the dash that the fluid is hot (only while driving about 70 MPH). Sometimes I can drive for an hour and sometimes 10 minutes before the message appears. Right when I pull off the road the light goes off. Hi all, can anyone please tell me the correct procedure for checking the Automatic Transmission level on my 2001 Rover 45 with the 1.8 'K' series engine. I get a slight judder when moving away in park or reverse, when the engine / gearbox have warmed up there is no problem and wondered if the fluid level is a bit low.

Does anyone know if the fluid in the torque converter flows through to the transmission and vice versa? I'm guessing that it does but not sure. I drained/filled the transmission fluid last weekend and didn't get a chance to do the TC drain/fill since it was getting dark but will do it this weekend.
