I have a 1991 burb that I am working on...I put a 98 454 vortec in it and will be putting in a 97 4l80e tranny. I have been unsuccessful at finding a np 241c with a 32 spline for under 100 bucks. So I will use the one currently on the tranny which is electronic. Since it is a drivers side mount, can I flip it to make it work with the passenger side? I have to at least get this on the road for now...

Transfer case oil I was reading the manual for my '02, and it states that for a manual transmission you use "Mopar Manual Transmission Fluid" (whatever that happens to be) and it states that the transfer case should be using "Mopar ATF +4 Type 9602". Is that correct? I've never put ATF in a manual anything, so this doesn't seem...

Based on their XJ t-case skid . 1/4" plate all bent with a brake and then just the little divot is welded on the bottom for the t-case to dip down. I've been told it will be on their website soon(Friday, IIRC). Very pleased with the work JCR did(swapped t-cases for me). Top notch guys with an excellent shop who do excellent work. Just figured I'd show you guys, since there seems ...

Dual transfer case question I know that the FJ cant fit a dual transfer case without a lot of modification, what I want to understand is the purpose of a dual dransfer case. Is it to give the driver more gearing options for any situation? Does the driver shift one case into neutral to utilize the gears in the other case?...

Does anyone know if this seal can cause fluid from the tranny to overfill the transfer case? My transfer case in my Excursion had one gallon of fluid in it when I drained it. Where is this seal located, and what is involved in changing it?

I am removing my trans in my 01 4X4 Excursion because the front seal started leaking. While I was draining the fluid from the transfer case, I loosened the fill plug, and fluid gushed out, and drained for much longer than I expected. There was over 1 gallon of fluid in the transer case? Could this be cause by a transmission issue? Is there something I need to look at further?

My Grandpa has a J20 with a 208 transfer case. There is a vacuum hose coming up from it, but we are unsure where it goes. He says it won't shift into 4wd. I would like to old guy to not get stuck at the bottom of his driveway this winter, so any help is appreciated.
