So according to the specs my 95 F250 with a 351/C6 has a towing capacity of 10K lbs with wt distribution. Is that realisitic? I need to tow a camper that has a GVW of 7200lbs and a dry weight of 5100lbs. The truck will have my daughter and me, hunting gear, and food, fuel etc.. My main concern is BIG hill we need to go up (Rte 209) for those that have been to Rausch Creek. I planned on using ...

I absolutely loved my Tundra, Silver, brown leather, most all options, etc...I even had some BBS wheels shipped to Utah and loved them on the truck as well. With the Bilsteins, rear TRD sway bar, great tires, the handling was amazing for a 4WD truck. But, we have two Corvettes now, a full race car and a C6 convertible show/audio demo/HPDE car and will be taking them both to shows ...

I have a 2005 Territory with a factory fitted HD towbar which rates the car as 2300Kg but would like to increase it slightly. Does anyone know if I can do something mechanical to my vehicle to increase the Towing capacity?

I'm looking at a 2010 King Cab SE with the tow package, but has what you'd call the small tow package (7400 tow capacity with 2.94:1 final gear). I don't really understand how this ratio reduces the tow capacity by 2000 lbs. from the 3.36:1 ratio. After all the rest of the truck is the same. My trailer (2010 Airstream) GVWR 7300, Dry Weight 5621. I'm figuring that the 7300 Lbs. is the ...

Hello everyone! We just purchased a 1971 Ranchero (351 Cleveland). She's beautiful, with just one dent on the passenger's side door, that we hope we can pop out. We'll post images soon. Does anyone know it's towing capacity? Is her wheel base long enough to tow an Airstream? The last owner stated that he removed a tow hitch, but wasn't sure if it was original. We'd like to use ...

I'm strongly considering getting a waggy for my next vehicle. Mostly as kind of a DD, partly as a tow rig for my XJ once I start building it. Also trying to find out what year they stopped offering the 401.

Dear Honda, we could really use a higher towing capacity on the Element, at least to pull a decent size pop-up trailer, Teardrops are not for everyone.

They also said you couldnt toe a backhoe and tracter at the same time with a gooseneck trailer in the 3500. hell of a bumpy ride, and stayed below speed limit whole way but made it no problems. I freaked out at everystop light though..... and ran a ton..... you just never know how long that yellow light it.

I agree with the trans cooler ideas here, but it's a c6... I don't think you're going to have any problems. Like Don says, it will probably spend a lot of time in second gear on steep grades. The 351W will pull it for sure, the question is just how much fuel will it consume doing it?

You should have no trouble at all haulinng that camper and gear with your truck. A camper that size should have brakes, assuming you have a brake controller you should be good to go. I have a 97 F250, same truck accept with a 460 and I hauled a 33' camper with ease. Also, found out my brake controller was no good and was still able to control and stop the camper without any problems, though I ...

I thought I read somewhere that if I used a load leveler it would take the towing capacity of my 2001 Sport Trac 4x4 from 5,000 to 7,000.. did I get that confused? thanks
