I've got this annoying problem with the touchpad built into my XPS studio 16. In internet explorer if i use the right side of the touchpad or the 2finger multitouch scroll gesture to scroll down a web page theres this horrible lag where the actual scrolling of the web page lags behind the finger movement- its driving me crazy. So i'm sure alot of people bought the Emachines for $200 on black friday from walmart like I did for my G/F. Problem is I cannot find out how to disable the touchpad. I have tried FN F7 and tried going into the mouse options but cannot figure it out.

Does anyone else draw with their Laptop touchpad. I have a wacom tablet but when i bought my latop over three years ago i couldnt be bothered calibrating the wacom, so i just started using my touchpad to draw. At first I thought it was the wireless mouse, but the touch pad had the same problem. The symptom is this, when on line, the keys on the touchpad lockup. I cannot reduce or end a program, or key any items within the program. Then I go to the control bar at the bottom of the screen that shows whats running, ket the item to reduce it, then expand it and I can use the keys for one or two operations....

I just purchased an HP Pavilion dm3-1023ca with Win7 x64 and from day 1 before I installed anything, the touchpad sometimes freezes after resuming from sleep mode. It doesn't always happen. A fresh reboot corrects the problem. The mouse buttons seem to work, as does the keyboard. I checked the driver version, it's up to date with the latest on the website.
