Hi All, My 2008 model touareg is having 275/40/R20 tyres and I am planning to purchase additional set of 17" wheels for off-roading(mainly sand dunes) purpose. Please advice me which is the best tyre size for the 17" rims and what I have to keep in mind while purchasing the 17" rims if I want to use tyre sizes like 285/70/R17. Also let me know whether these tyre size is supported in ...

Has anyone fitted Chinese made Nav systems into dash of Touareg? Any suggestions about a quality brand that will work with VW wiring including steering wheel control? Thanks.

I married a guy with his dream car, a V10 Touareg TDI. From the beginning he wanted to brag on it but I could tell he was already feeling a bit sad about his choice. I could go on and on but his dream has really become a night mare and we've had to spend about $15,000.00 on it in the last 6 months mostly turbo problems (alternator, brakes too) which they really couldn't get right and installed a ...

Saw a nice looking reed green/alaska grey Touareg turning from new Seward to northern Lights up here in Anchorage the other night and noticed you had a rear mounted tire carrier. From what I saw it looked much like the Cayenne/ROW available Rear Tire carrier. From thread searchign it appears a rarely done/diffficult modification. Curious on the tire Carrier.

The Cayenne rears can be made to work, but they certainly don't bolt up stock or anything. 2Bennet uses them on their rear brake kit, but of course, won't sell the adapters separately. The problem youd run into, I imagine, is that I am pretty sure the Cayenne/Touareg rear calipers use a much thicker rotor, and not the 22mm rotors we use. So, youd have to find a rotor with the proper thickness ...

Hi, I am driving a Touareg (2008,V6) with 275/40 R20 (pirelli Pzero rosso) tyres. Is there any chance that I can take my Touareg to Sand dunes and survive? I tried small dunes couple of times without any success. But that was not deflating the tyres. I tried disabling the ESP also high range and low range too. But the best result (not sure whether I can call it a result ) so far I got is...
