Does anyone have any good links for "total loss" insurance providers? Since I'm packing myself it seems as if damage, breakages, 'derangement' etc. aren't covered. Packing/unpacking isn't covered either. Anything stolen by customs looks unlikely to be covered either (unless you create a stupidly detailed inventory AND get it checked). I was at fault with a vehicle which I hit the tire and busted the tire and the hub cap and bent the rim, on the rear passenger side of the car. I have found out now that the 1996 Saturn 4 door SF1 which the owner states has less than 67,000 miles was previously totaled. Before I knew the vehicle was purchased with a Salvage Title, I was willing to pay out of pocket the lowest estimate which is ...

My 2002 F350 Lariat Crew Cab Long Bed 7.3L Turbo Diesel (loaded) truck was totaled early last month and the insurance company is offering me approximately $5,000 less than my market research indicates my truck was worth. They won't make any adjustments for mileage (my truck had only 41,745 miles on it), factory installed equipment, or trim/style (i.e., XL vs. Lariat). They first sent me a ...

Our business is located behind a large truckstop and our driveway leads directly into the parking area. Trucks are always blocking our driveway so we started parking one of our vehicles(1995 Dodge Ram 1500) in the entrance to our driveway. The other night one of the semi's parked next to our truck caught fire and burned to the ground. The driver was able to escape the burning truck and wake the ...

Just talked to the ins. adjuster and he's recommending my 04 Ram 3500 Dually be declared a total loss. I am just devastated. I really loved my truck. I'll talk to the claim rep tomorrow to see how much I will get for it.

Hi Got chance to repair a cat d total loss, have all paperwork etc but do i need to send log book to DVLA to get the fact it was written off on it? Is it right that a cat d write off only needs repairing and then a new MOT and does not need to go to VOSA(?) for inspection? Have read a couple of forums where they mention if you pay for a £200 incpection on catd you can get it removed ...

Hi All 54 plate Punto active 8v Bought the car two years ago and it ran fine for a while. The main problem I am having is that occasionally the whole electrics will cut out. All lights, power steering etc just die. This happens when cold, warm, normal, winter, summer. Two months ago I went on holiday and when I came back I started the car up. Car started fine but when I pulled off...

You could simply not over-load the disk you have in the server, if you go Raid0 you're doubling your chances of total failure from a drive loss but increasing performance and if you go raid10 you're running sliced/mirrored pairs which gives you speed and a little redundancy.
