DD typically eats anything we eat, but I am always careful of prepared chicken stock/broth and canned tomato products because of the sodium. I am thinking these might be in the soup. Check the sodium content of your ingredients. If it were me, I would probably just shred up some chicken and give that and whatever veggies were in the soup minus the broth!

Doesn't it?? I was making "ordinary" homemade chicken soup the other night and jazzed it up by stealing ideas from this receipe. I threw in canned tomatoes, crushed chillies, black beans, frozen corn and brown rice. It turned out thick, spicey, hearty and absolutely delicious!!!

I add corn tortillas to my soup. I cut 6-10 corn tortillas in 1in. strips and add to the soup mixture. Then I garnish w/ prepackaged corn tortilla chips for the crunch. I think its just different strokes for different folks. Try them both ways and see how you like it.
