Preamble. When I first got my car I found it to have the wrong distributor fitted (0231 159 006). With help from from forum members here, I realised I needed a 0231 159 002 and with a lot of hunting around, I finally found one. (it has a black label, not yellow one but let`s not go there.) So then, I slotted the new distributor in place and ran it for a while. The difference was ...

I'm looking for a dyno graph of the Torque and HP curves of the 5.7L engine on a stock Toyota Tundra, preferrably a 4x4 with 4.30 gearing (ie. tow package) and at sea level. I am particularly interested in how much torque this engine makes at low (2000-2500) RPMs. I can't seem to find anything online without the truck being modified, at high elevation, or with unknown gearing. You ...

A larger, more powerful engine with torque at low rpm can be geared to loaf along at very low rpms with barely open throttle. This will have less frictional and pumping losses than a small engine buzzing away on the highway. Big V8s can do astonishingly well at efficiency under the correct circumstances.

I've been searching the forums for a while but I cannot find a torque curve/graph for the 1KZ-TE. Has anyone put their KZN130 on the dyno and have gotten graphs that include the torque curve? What I'm really after is the knowledge of at which RPM there is most torque. I want this information so that I can improve the use of the engine when wheeling offroad. Power info would be handy too....
