My doctor has told me to do more exercise as I have been gaining too much weight already. I have already gained 9kg! I know that is a lot but for some reason this pregnancy I feel so hungry all the time. Anyone else has a weight issue? Please tell me I'm not the only hungry bunny!!!

This is a new one to me! I was banded on Sept. 21st and after a problem with a referral three weeks ago, was finally set to have my first fill today. I was so excited since I haven't had ANY restriction at all. When I got there, the NUT came in to talk to me and was so happy that I lost 4 lbs in three weeks that she said I didn't need to be filled because I was doing so well on my own....

Its my 5th week of pregnancy and it just hit me; Im both happy and scared at the thought that Im going to be a mommy. We called our family and they are all excited for us. My parents had 7 children so they were supper excited to hear that their 35-year-old daughter was finally pregnant. Surprisingly, it was my dad that was the most excited and that means so much to me. My dad and I have had ...

( Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a great holiday. This was a sad one for me. My husband \(55 y/o\) passed away one week ago today. If you read The Floyd County Times, then you probably saw his obit. But, on to my weight problem. In the past few months I have been consistently losing weight. It wasn't due to stress, my husband wasn't sick before his sudden, unexpected death. I lost 23 ...

I am 7 months and my dr. says I've put on too much weight. I weighed 114 before I became pregnant and now I weigh 146 and I still have a couple of months to go. I have always weighed exactly what I should according to my BMI and I've routinely exercised for the past year and a half which included high intensity cardio and yoga. I do moderate cardio exercise for 30-45 mins twice a week as well ...

Ran my first mazza in March this year in Rome. I began training last November, all went well and I'm training for London 2010 except I am slight concerned about the amount of weight I will lose. I've always had a slim build but since I started I've lost even more weight, so much so that before the mazza dad seriously asked me if i was had an eating disorder. Everybody coments on how skinny I ...

I was shocked when my Dr told me I would have to wait another 6 months on top of the year I've already spent jumping through hoops to get all his requirements done. He said since I gained 30 lbs over the past year, we'll have to wait until my weight is stable. I think since I'm at my all time high, I won't have any trouble staying here, but still. I really wanted January, you know? He never ...

So we found out today we're having a boy. And while I'm REALLY happy about it, my doctor just totally rained on my parade by telling me I've gained too much weight. I've always been a heavy girl but I'm half way through the pregnancy and I've already gained 20lbs. It's SOOO easy for me to gain weight :( I've cried ALLLLLLLLL day because she made me feel so bad. I got so embarassed when she...

I understand that once LO is done breastfeeding, my weight will go back to normal. Is this true? I hope so. I lost all of my pregnancy weight and then some. I know that my metabolism is fast but this is ridiculous! The doctor told me months ago (before I lost so much weight) that I have to eat more than I did when I was pregnant when breastfeeding. Someone explained to me that eating ...

I have been doing some pretty heavy weight training and I was wondering if I should cut it back and do more cardio? By the time I am done with my lifting I am dead tired and ready to get some protein in my system, so is it ok if I am doing more lifting than cardio or should it be the other way around. I always try to sqeeze 10-30 mins after my lifting if im not too tired. For example I did legs ...

I have been reading these forums for quite a while, and this is the first time I have heard of getting the band completely full. I would research that if it were me. I have been more worried about being overfilled.

Question then, Do you find that an online source of help, helps those who are newer to the obesity struggle? And, do most of your clients (or friends- whatever) continue the struggle after the weight is actually off? When does the healthy lifestyle become 'ingrained' like you mentioned? Do you still struggle for instance? This idea is somewhat new to me. Best wishes to you too.

One practice which helps moms to hold in their circulation all of that water that they are drinking (rather than just pee-ing it all out), is making sure that they salt their food. Doing that will increase the osmotic pressure in the circulation, which holds fluid in the blood vessels. When you see the fluid leaking out into the ankles, fingers and face, that is a sign that there is not enough...
