My husband thinks it’s too cold to ride. It will be about 43 today and 36 tomorrow. I usually ride on Sundays. I ride for 3 to 4 hours every weekend. It is my time away from the 4 kids. LOL My hubby thinks Magnum will get sweaty and then freeze. He does sweat a little from cantering and freaking out about his shadow and squirrels and other random things. LOL Should I worry about him getting cold?

Is 32 too cold for cacti (or plants in general) to be outside? I'm in coastal Dana Point, CA (zone 9b) and the temps are supposed to drop on Tuesday, 39 on Monday night. I have several salvia seedlings, some fuchsias, a couple of citrus and several dragon fruit plants. Should I move them all into the garage? What about small plants on the ground? Would covering them with a sheet work? ...

It's supposed to get down to 35 on Tuesday here in Southern CA (coastal Dana Point, zone 9b). Is that too cold for the worms to be outside? Should I bring them into the garage? Usually I keep a benchmark of 40s before I consider moving my potted plants in because I have so many of them (lots of cactus and seedlings). I've read that their range is 32 to 95 so it sounds like they would be okay...

I've been wondering if my basement has been getting too cold for the equipment. I'm in LA so it's dry here and it's not a humidity problem but there's no climate control down there. It's not below freezing but it's been down into the 40's. Anything to be worried about?

I planted Turnips this year for the first time. I waited a month too late to plant according to my chart. I was wondering what is the lowest temperature that turnips can stand. Saturday night it is expected to be in the high 20's here where I live in Georgia. Will I need to cover them up or will they handle the cold just fine. This is my first year will a fall garden so I am still learning....

OK I know it's a rookie question but at what point do you call it quits and get on the trainer? I'm not talking about snow/ice/darkness but cold and wind. I don't want to sound wimpish but I feel the change in the weather coming and I'm not ready to head indoors yet. When I ran it was never too cold to run outside but now that I'm riding full time I can see that the cold and especially the wind ...
