For all the supposed "superiority" of Western civilization, the normal western toilet is actually quite a shitty design. They're hard to clean. It ends up being rather unhygienic. Then you have the Chinese squat toilets. Much easier to clean. Much less chance to "miss". I start to appreciate Chinese culture more everyday.

Does anyone have experience or use of a composting toilet. Our septic is not doing so well, may be old, need replacing. Was thinking about switching to the composter.
