Whats a good tire pressure range for 285/70/17 for just normal daily driving? My pressure warning light decided to come on this morning and hasn't gone away.

I get the message "Tire Pressure Monitor Failure" when starting my 2009 Focus. The warning light blinks and then stays on. Tire pressure has been checked. Is there a procedure to reset it? or recalibrate it? Is there a bigger underlying issue? Thank You

i know the ones equiped on our cars are pretty accurate. would they still be accurate with them being mounted on my rims by the band meathod? to make that more clear.. took a band and wrapped them inside my after market rims. reason for asking is.. pumped the tires up to 41psi at the gas station... 41psi according to the gas station psi gauge. but my car read my tire ...

I tested my cold tire pressure, car sat outside overnight, temperature 52 degrees. The pressure on all four (analog gauge) was 37 psi. I lowered the pressure to what the sticker says - 32psi front / 30psi rear. I drive for two weeks like this. I will admit that I never checked the tire pressure on it since I bought it new this past May. I brought the Forester in for the first tire ...

Post # 1 Hi Ya'll. I am a newbie but have read posts on this forum for a while and have gotten great information. I just had a quick question and hope you can help me. I have a 2006 2500 Mega cab CTD 4x4. I have been running the stock BFG's but wanted a change. Two days ago I put a 2 inch level kit and 305/70/17 Nitto Grapplers...

At the moment I have 18" Pirelli ZR Pzero Neros on my car (225/40 front, 265/35 rear). Two questions, the first one rather dumb-ass: What pressure is preferred? What is the general opinion of the tire?

Always Always Always fill you tires to the maximum recommended PSI on the sidewall of your tires, if you want optimum tread wear and fuel economy. I asked a grad from an automotive tech school... The dealer door panel recommended PSI is for comfort . You CAN set it to that if you want a smoother ride, but If you want the best economy, you go by the Maximum Recommended PSI on the ...

Can Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors be repaired or only replaced? Apparently the TPMS have gone out in my CL55, and I would prefer fixing them instead of replacing them, is this my only choice, instead of hitting the R button every time I drive the dang car. I understand spending a little money here and...

135 sport door says 36/38 for front and rear, but that's for the oem summers. Now i'm on 17s with 205/50R17 Winter Sport 3D from TireRack. Tires came with 34.5PSI all around. Is that the recommended pressure? Thanks to Gill's fast shipping and excellent tire/rims. Ride quality is awesome

I recently went from 16x10 with 315's to 17x9 with 37x12.5. They came with 50 psi in them and that seems a bit to much. What tire pressure should i be running or is 50 good?

I've installed the remote tire pressure monitors on my '09 FLHR. (I don't want to take any grief about the value. I also have the digital oil temp/dipstick and I check oil pressure, oil temp, tire pressure before and after every ride. It just makes it easy!!) Anyway, back to my observation. I inflate the tires to 36psi F and 40psi R per the specifications. At the beginning of a ride ...

Just a heads up. Temps are cooling off. Air contracts when cold expands when hot. We all know that. Checking the ride out Friday night for a long ride Saturday. Rear had 30 psi. Glad I took the time to check. Some thing we (or me anyway) don't give much thought. Ride safe.

Hi all, I just got some new(used) Wrangtler RT/S 31's on my otherwise stock '99 TJ. How do I know what tire pressure should be? This is just for standard road driving. Thanks for your help. Teresa
