If you have Time Warner Cable and you go to your Find It On Demand channel, you can have a $5/50 for Lowe's sent to your house! I just ordered mine tonight, so I will update if it comes. Hopefully they'll be more coupons like this in the future.

Time Warner cable is out in the NY area..Wonderful... If anyone gets a chance look at the cover of the print edition of the NY Post this morning...Tiger may own the NY Post when his lawyers gets done!! You can take that to the bank too. They stepped to new all-time lows. :) I really thought they were beyond this? I had to do a double take when I first saw it wondering if the ...

#### you TWC and your stupid ####ing Navigator software update That worthless pile of #### that's going to cost MORE each month deleted half of our scheduled recordings and won't let us reset those recordings without ALSO recording repeat shows even though it's set to only record new shows. I did contact them and they said the box just needs to be rebooted but that's ...

Remember two years ago when they had pretty good firmware? Then they did a mandatory switch to a new menu system. The clerk at TWC Chatsworth told me that they were too cheap to renew the license of the menu firmware from (I believe) Scientific Atlanta. So they came up with there own cheap, superbuggy interface. Can anybody verify that TWC is too cheap to pay for decent software??!? PS...

I had this problem with my old television and gave up. Now I have a new 46 inch Samsung LCD and it's the same issue all over again. I have an optical audio out cable from my Time Warner digital box to my AV Receiver. I also have an HDMI cord from the Time Warner digital box directly to my television. With this set up, I cannot get Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound out of my stereo ...

It seems as if the poster cannot obtain DD5.1 via optical when the HDMI is connected to STB/TV. In other words, DD5.1 is not being "passed" simultaneously when both HDMI and optical are connected. The make/model of the STB will help to determine if there is a "trick" to either enable simultaneous DD output or perhaps a preference setting to select optical vs. HDMI.

Time Warner probably does have a point in why they possibly raise their rates. Like everything prices do go up. And this also goes for Cable Networks and Broadcasters. They also have price increases on what they have to pay to put a show on T.V. Actors want more money, backstage personal want more money, etc. Somewhere down the road it come back to the TV watchers. And that means a price...

I'm surprised some people have choices. Cable companies all seem to be monopolies that have divided up the country for their own. Where I live (RI), Cox is the only provider for most of the state, except for the eastern part that hangs off of MA. They seem ot have Full Channel and no other choice. Up north in MA, I think they have Comcast. I'm not aware of anywhere near me that actually has...
