OK, so my Time Warner DVR KEEPS not recording my requested shows saying "Channel not available." I've swapped boxes. The cable guy came out on my new box and described a practice I now know as " Cable Switched Video ." What this means if I understand it- is that channels are not sent to my box until my box requests them. What this would also mean is that if all possible "open lanes" are ...

I've got Time Warner now, but don't know if one of the other two might be better at my new residence. Don't care for the extended pause when changing channels but I guess thats with any digital setup. Considering premium lineup w/any of them. Opinions?

It is time for the state QUarterfinals in New York for football, and Time Warner's sports station is showing all five games in the Far West region (ROchester and Buffalo), but they are only showing four out of the five live. My HS, for the first time has made the state Quarters and guess is the one game they aren't showing live. MOTHER BLEEPERS. Â

I'm in the West Valley area, north of LA. We got a letter from TW saying we would get SDV Nov. 12. They lied - they did it Nov. 8. I already don't get channels 3, 6, 59 (Weather Channel) so I have to connect the TA one day soon. Get your TA so you'll be ready and don't believe the date they give you. CB
