If use a wifi connection to connect to the same Time Capsule, internet is flawlessly fast, reaching well over 80Mbit. How is this possible? I checked and the ip...

Looking around here, there's plenty of reports of TC's going to join the choir invisible. I've got a 1TB version that's about two years old and, yesterday, during a routine back-up, I got a message that stated simply "File System Failure". It's still working perfectly as a router, but will no longer back-up. Anyone else had this problem? I've been thinking about upgrading to a ...

I have no idea what to do next. The wireless connection on my 500 GB Time Capsule works fine. However, a few days ago, I noticed that it was no longer backing up. I tried the usual things (resetting Time Capsule, unplugging Time Capsule, changing my disk name) and even did a full erase. Every single time I try to turn on my Time Machine and select the backup disk, it gives me this ...

I was about to buy a Time Capsule but have been put off by the horrific reviews in Amazon and in the Apple Store Reviews section. Are they still as unreliable as stated or has the product moved on and been upgraded? All the issues seem to be around power failure and the complete death which scares me as I need a good back up wireless hard-drive. Is there a good alternative...

I don't know if I will be around to celebrate our inevitable victory, so I was thinking of a time capsule and what I would put in it. Books on race and civilizaton, Mein Kampf, White Power, The Turner Diaries, Hunter, personal items, an armband, biographies of great inventors, scientists, etc. A lot of this could be burnt on a CD or DVD, but who knows if the future will have the technology ...

OK, so I'm going to post this again so I can find out if Apple plans to support its fence straddlers or leave us out of the loop because we're MS users too. I have a MacBook Pro, a Time Capsule, Airport Express and 2 Ipod Touches in my house, along with, oh no, 2 PCs running windows. I'm attempting to use my TC as a network storage device across ALL my systems. Since firmware ...

I recently reconfigured the settings on my time capsule because I was having trouble getting my Comcast modem to connect to my AE/Time Capsule. Ever since I did that, and started using the AE as my router for my apartment, my time machine hasn't been able to connect to the AE/Time Capsule to back up, despite me being constantly connected to it for internet. When I click on the ...

have a time capsule that I used with my previous iMac and Leopard. It has been several months since I used it due to the iMac dying. I just got my new iMac. I used migration assistance to recover my backups from my time capsule. All went great. Now when I go to the finder, it shows my time capsule in the shared section and not under the device section. Is this where it should be ...
