Hi I have a VF2 and the Y axis is noisy. Has anyone here done this fix? Any idea what the HFOs charge? Not sure if I should have a go myself and what complications I might encounter. Any advise would be appreciated.

Here is the prices listed on the Haas website of there prices on some of they repairs it says $1295 for the y axis screw installed with the screw it does not say anything about the thrust bearings. If they told you $5000 plus time this would be like stealing and lying. Hope this helps Mike FAIR SPARES - THE HAAS WAY Fair Spares - The Haas Way Our Honest Service Value policy ...

Just got my car back from TruLine getting alligned. They told me that my Front Thrust Bearings were bad. The Thrust bearings are going to cost me about $130 for the front set. And the labor is going to cost me about $250. Does that sound right? I got recommended to them by this site. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. On another note. I am going to get new tires ...

Hi, I'd appreciate the advice of anyone who has already figured this. Am building a 40' Hartley powered by a 6BT59M/330HP thru a 2.86:1 PRM box. Motor is on rubber and coupled to the 50mm prop shaft with a 30" long sliding spline shaft with a UJ on each end. The inboard end of the prop shaft has a half flange bolted to the rear UJ and it's 'bearing-useable' surface is 80mm OD. The outboard end is...
