I am new on this site and am looking for a few answers. I have had an elevated left shoulder for almost five years with nerve and muscle pain. I didn't have an accident, didn't fall, and didn't have a car accident. I really woke up 5 years ago with an elevated shoulder. After being passed from doctor to doctor, I am having surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with only a 50% chance it will ...

I know this might be a strange topic but although this is not about muscle building, it's still about the general concept of body building. Is it possible to expand the size of your thoracic cavity, so that you have a deeper thorax? (not necessarily a wider one, because that seems more unlikely) I've had this doubt since one kickboxing class, more than 10 years ago. I was too tired, ...

I am status post ACDF of C5-C6 many years ago. Best thing I ever did and have been basically pain-free since then. For the last month I have had fairly severe pain in my thoracic region to the side under my left arm. Hard to describe but it's basically where your bra strap passes under your arm. It is generally sore but extremely sensitive to touch. Doesn't seem to be worse with ...

Dear Amron, I never thought I would be a case for the medical books but it seems that I am. Hello Everyone, A few months back I underwent a thoracolumbar MRI scan which revealed a large disc extrusion at the T10/T11 level. Radiologist interpretation as follows: “FINDING: At T10-11, there is a large thoracic disc extrusion postlaterally on the left with extension of disc material into the left intervertebral foramen, prominently stenosing the foramen and impingement upon the ...

Strengthening the respiratory muscles does have some potiential to enhance breathing, increase oxygen intake, and lung capacity. This can develop a stronger and deeper breathing pattern along with better/more diaphram expansion. Just like you can enhance the flexibilty of ordinary muscles, you can do the same for your abdominal muscles so they don't impose as much resistance but the ...

I found that every doctor likes to try PT first. I will tell you that I waited & put off getting looked at, then when I did I was misdiagnosed so much that I am in chronic pain for the rest of my life. I know how you feel. I have lost alot of muscle & range of motion in my left arm & you can see it now. A good PT will stop if it does not improve or gets worse, 2 or mine did. Especially if ...

If you get into a good PM they will continue to look for problems, & look into that T area. If I am to understand correctly (others can correct me if I am wrong) its rare to injure the T area, but it does happen. I honestly think doctors get nervous about the T spine. I am getting the T1 looked into next week. I would find a good Pm & as far as PT if it were me I would be hesitant about that ...

I am new to this message board and just ran across your thread so by now you probably have had your surgery. I have had a cervical rib resection and my scalene muscle removed about 3 months ago and I'm still in recovery. It's a painful surgery. Mine was probably a little more so because the surgeon said he did a little more work than he normally does and my ribs were a lot bigger than most ...

Hi , I am a student of Metaphysics, involved in active research. During my research I came across a gentleman Guide in India (near New Delhi), who has been healing chronic dis-eases from distance since the last 16 years with due practice. He bases his theory of healing purely on scientific grounds. www.cosmicbeamtherapy.com I read that you have already gone through surgeries on yourself...
